Lakes & Ocean Hotel

Just enjoyed my daughter's wedding reception here. The staff were amazing. So friendly and accomodating. The food was really great and you just couldn't beat the view from the balcony. Highly recommend as a function venue.

We stayed here for a night on our road trip and the room was great. Very spacious super comfy soft bed. It had everything you needed. The whole hotel downstairs had a great atmosphere and the food was fantastic.

Pub food was 5 STARS!!
(Do yourself a favour and order the pork cutlet, it was amazing!)
All staff were friendly, cheery and helpful.
Room was good value, small and basic with an old, clunky mattress, but clean.
Communal bathrooms could use some attention.
Great spot within easy walking distance of most beaches and venues in Forster.
Would stay again.

We had the best o/night stay it felt like a week. The room was clean shower was huge. The staff were fantastic and made you very welcome. The food was delicious. We need to plan a longer stay. We watched the sunset and sunrise at a beautiful lookout.

From a short notice check in, (again), to ordering dinner, I was reminded how much I appreciate customer service and would like to say thank you. It seems rare these days, and I have really appreciated it.

The room was clean and tidy, the steak was cooked perfectly, the staff consideration, care and efficiency was next to none. Coming back from the city, it was something I really noticed.

Great pub that has the old country pub feel; great meals, friendly staff and beautiful views. Meat raffles and karaoke were on the night we visited which was great to see. We got the courtesy bus and the driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We will return!

Second time going on a Sunday for a few drinks whilst listening to the entertainment that's on from 4.30 to 7.00pm, followed by a bistro dinner. Meals at our table were the grilled chicken breast which was huge and delicious; steak which was cooked just right and tender; and the seafood platter (pictured) that was plenty for 2 people. The coffee was also good, and all prices were reasonable. Saw a lovely sunset from the balcony where we sat. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great pub , great venue & overall 4 stars as a genuine rating . Drinks weren't a rip off and the band playing last Saturday took me back to the 80's & 90's . Place was buzzing & I had a nice collect in the gambling lounge too .
The only real dissatisfaction is relevant to the food . To be honest I picked out a couple of restaurants on Wharf St but my know it all mate said this hotel is the best feed in town . Possibly so but definitely not last Saturday night . Basic pub feed within a canteen like area .
The seafood platters were less than good & way over priced .

We had a wonderful afternoon session at the Lakes and Ocean Hotel beer garden. The music starts at 4pm and it is a lovely atmosphere with your favourite acoustic hit songs and the sun setting over the river. The calamari went down easily too.

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night during our drive from Brisbane to Melbourne and I couldn't recommend it more. It was our best stay during the trip! The room was super clean and really comfortable. The staff were kind and professional and check after hours was super easy. Also can't forget to mention it was really affordable for what it was. Would recommend and would stay again!
