Lakeside Tavern Chinese Food.

Had a couple of cold beers at Lakeside Tavern and a fantastic Chinese meal from Lakeside Chinese.

Food was delightful, we had the chicken cashew, san choy bow, red duck curry, sizzling beef, kids mi goreng, fried rice and prawn toast. Chicken was a bit slimy in texture- different than most.

Food comes out very fast and kitchen is very efficient.

This place is typical country Chinese, nothing fancy but definitely hits the spot and tasty.

We would be back for sure.

What a great surprise. This place was right next to our accommodation. Chinese food was excellent. Host was awesome.

I'm not sure how they even classify the food that they sell as FOOD! Slop served on a plate. Honey chicken ? More like chicken with a glucose syrup. AVOID HONEY CHICKEN. Definitely will be report to food health and safety.

Dropped by due to the reviews stating it was dog friendly restaurant and food was okay, however we didn't even eat but the whole service was terrible.
Note. They only have Chinese food from a stingy run down Chinese restaurant attached. I asked for the Mongolian sizzling plate but they said if you were to sit outside , you'd have to order as takeaway , the prices are way too high for takeaway, especially if they make it watered down.
Perhaps they had people steal plates and cutlery in the past that's why they don't serve outside. Quite strange policy if they're affiliated in the tavern.

The sports tavern was old and had no atmosphere but it was Thursday week day.

We left immediately due to the rude service.

Great location, you feel tucked away and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Can't comment on the food as I wanted chips at 1pm and was told the kitchen/restaurant would be open around 5pm ( I don't think the restaurant there is actually apart of the tavern) but it is kid friendly, dog friendly and nice place for a catch up with friends or family per a beer. Highly recommend it

I've travelled 50 towns in the past year and I love the family feel of this pub. Playground was good. Staff are welcoming. Food was decent. Terrence was just a legend he was kind and welcoming and in the end drove me home. Lots of love for you guys thank you.

Did not eat here, however food was available. Very nice roomy layout in pub itself, usually just go to the bottle shop, which has quite a range of wines , spirits , beers & ciders
Well worth a visit as prices are comparable to the majors.

Very busy tonight so was noisy... staff handled the crowds... and kitch had the meals just rolling out... well done to all the staff..

Hi very very average Chinese food. Lovely waitresses. Food so bland. Like 1985 Australian Chinese food.
