A lot of country hotels can surprise you with their warm inviting atmosphere and great food. This is not one of them.

Considering how many staff were on, the service was nowhere to be seen. Had to wait 25 minutes at the bar to order food as the servers kept letting grumpy old men push in front of us. We had been there an hour by the time we got our food which was a shame as when the food came out it was pretty good.

Great place to meet with friends. Staff very friendly, great enjoyable meals at a great price. Have taken 5 friends there over the last two weeks and everyone enjoy the experience.

Visited The Lancefield Hotel for Mother's day, the mums in the group were welcomed with a glass of bubbles which was a nice touch. It is a large pub well suited to families with small children. Our table was situated near the kids games room which was a little hectic, wouldn't like to be sitting there if you didn't have small kids with the group. Food was nice and drinks were very well priced.

Really yummy food. Very accommodating staff. Large spaces. The fish and chips was one of the best I've had. 10 on 10! I came with a group of high needs elderly clients and the staff present really accommodated for their needs and were patient and kind to all of us. Thank you so so much!

But must comment on the excellent service on Mothers Day, my meal unfortunately had to be sent back which I really hesitated to do as HATE doing that. But (who I'm assuming) was the manager was amazing in response, was extremely accomdating and put me at ease that I was fine to say something, replacement meal of my choosing was back out quite quickly and a bottle of red was thrown in for the trouble. Definitely recommended and worth the 1 hour drive we did to get there! Thank you :)

I just had such a wonderful lunch with my girlfriends I had a Porterhouse Steak with fresh greens and scalloped potatoes it was so fresh and the service was very friendly food came very quick too thankyou!

Poor food and overpriced. We stopped here for lunch on Saturday 23.09.23. My boyfriend had the parma-chicken was dry as a bone and the crumbs were on the verge of being burnt. I had the steak sandwich-worst I've ever had. The 5x1-1.5cm wide strips of thin steak were over cooked and very tough, the cheese looked like a slice of grilled plastic cheese and was also overcooked, to the point where it just crumbled. Disappointing considering how good the food was under the previous owners. Being local to the area I wanted to support locals, but can't in this case. Won't be back and won't be recommending.

What a great business and venue to host events with. Last weekend, we hosted a paint and sip event and what a success it was! Ash and the team were amazing to deal with and on the day, the event ran so smoothly. They provided us our own private room to run the event and the hospitality was superb! Thanks for having us team! We look forward to another fun event there soon. Highly recommended for holding events and having your special occasions here!

Had a bit of an issue with my meal but the manager sorted it out straight away came and spoke to us to explain why it happened.

I was expecting a simple pub meal, but for $28 I got an amazing and delicious main meal.....add our entree of calamari .....triple yum when you add the fabulous and friendly service of the staff?. Great way to spend our dinner date in Lancefield!

Food was delicious. Service was average. Meals came out staggered. I was on a table of 6 people, by the time the last 2 meals came out everyone else had finished. Advising guests of items on menu not available is suggested. Busy on a Sunday night so make sure you book ahead.

Staff were lovely. Went on a busy Saturday night so some wait time was to be expected.
Super noisy in the restaurant with the busy bar right next to us.
Would go back for a drink but would probably skip food. Was quite disappointed with the burgers.

Amazing food. Good service and value for money. If you are in area highly recommend for dinner. Book a table in advance it does get busy on Friday/ Saturday nights. Dessert chocolate brownies was amazing too

Have been here a few times and the food and service were fine, however since changing owners it appears this place has gone downhill. The coffee was cold and my schnitzel was overcooked and dry. The food took quite some time to come out. Disappointing, wont be returning.

Sunday lunch at the Lancefield Hotel yesterday, new owners Alex and Ashe really have created a great friendly and welcoming atmosphere, food was amazing, service excellent. This destination is definitely worth a visit for a meal, a catch-up with friends , a warm up after the footy by the fire. Can truly recommend you visit soon.

Came in after having booked a table around noon for 6:30 dinner. Rocked up 20 minutes early no problems. Proper pub food menu, we both went the house made lasagna and shared a garlic bread with a plan to have room for dessert. The dessert special sounded amazing, but we were both feed into submission with a very tasty lasagne, with really good chips and a fresh crunchy salad. The bread was excellent cheesy garlic bread too. Super quick and friendly service.

Out today @thelancefieldhotel great service and delicious food. I opted for the mustard on steak. Rabbit warren of a pub but great character. I feel the beer garden would give off serious chilled vibes at night with the lights on display and greenery for a backdrop 🍷🍺🌱🍃

First time dining here as a family group after hearing good things. Booking was easy over the phone (glad we did as it is popular). Plenty of tables in the many dining spaces. Large kids room and outdoor beer garden.
Menu has lots of options, pub classics and favorites. Dish portions are generous and about right. Well presented and seasoned. Enjoyed the porterhouse steaks. Kids meals come with too many chips if being critical. Decor is relaxed. Service is very casual and not intrusive.
Will definitely be back to try more.

Booked well in advance so they knew it was a large group . Meals were poor quality, orders wrong, and staff that had very poor customer service .Would not recommend. As requested below I have discussed the many issues and am pleased to say management were very receptive to the feed back...Happy to give the dinning room another visit ..

This pub has improved so much. The staff are friendly and you can see everyone is working hard as it's often busy. On our most recent visit we enjoyed the burger and a parma both of which were great pub food. The beer garden is lovely and it's so nice to sit outside. Looking forward to visiting again.

They were down by 1 chef so they only had Chicken parm and Seafood on the menu
The Chicken Parm was ok and was $18.00 each because it was parm night.
My wife ordered a side of vegies which was a couple of pieces of Broccoli and a few beans added to her plate $8.00 wow
We got a Jug of lemon squash but it didnt taste like it $16.00 wow again

Also they didn't have any heating on and it was really cold in there.

New owners recently took over. Friendly service always smiling even when they are busy, amazing food, complements to the cook! Gorgeous vibe :)

Stayed nearby and ate here twice. On both occasions the meals were great, we had the rump steak, Hawaiian Parma, chicken schnitzel and mushroom risotto (with chicken). Kane and Jemma were flat out as it was pretty busy, but very hospitable and friendly.

Before I explain, I am well aware of the pubs right to allow/not allow entry for some patrons.
My family and I made the 50km drive to Lancefield for a picnic and to look at the area for suitability for a house purchase when we were greeted by a staff member in a not so pleasant way. As soon as I walked in, this staff member asked if I was there for food or drinks and I said I needed to use the bathroom. The staff member then said "this isn't a public restroom, use the one down the road". We did not see the one down the road as it was our first time in the area other wise we would have certainly done so.
It has obviously put a sour taste in our mouth and has not only turned us off the pub but the area in general which is extremely unfortunate.

Firstly they were booked out which was a good sign but they made room for the four of us.

We were very welcomed by all staff and even the owner came in to check on us. Decent menu with most pub favourites!

We ordered some entrees and our mains.
Food was lovely and for that will definitely be back.

It was just ok food wise. Everything was served with chips which, apparently, are lovely... but not everyone likes chips! I asked if i could forgo the chips which was fine, but the substitute offered was an extra $5 which made the meal particularly bad value. I have a similar meal at another,reasonably close, venue which is so much tastier AND they substitute for free.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but didn't seem happy and looked stressed (possibly Covid related... there obviously weren't enough people available on the day.
Every one else at my table liked their food.... if you love chips, you'll love this place.

I usually don't order risotto because it reminds me of the only vegetarian option that restaurants had for years, but I ordered a veg risotto last night and I must say it will be a long time memorable meal! It was exceptionally good.
Ordered the sticky date pudding for desert- brilliant but too rich for one person. I'll be sharing next time.
Im most impressed by the food. Thank you for a great Saturday night dinner! You can't be faulted in my opinion.

Nice country pub with a decent menu, great prices and excellent service. Worth a visit.

Pretty much your average country pub. One of the dining rooms is really nice with exposed brick, the other is neat and well maintained but pretty average. A decent choice of beers on tap, including local beers. The food is good pub food with large servings but the menu is somewhat limited.
