Went for an early lunch. It had a lovely and quaint atmosphere, even when the crowds started coming in for the regular lunch times. We got a Scotch egg and Sunday roast pork, which was absolutely delicious. The servings were unexpectedly big and would be good shared between 2 people and really decently priced. If you're feeling nostalgic for a good London pub and grub, this is a good start.

Monday night $10 frozen food special! Better off going to Woolies and getting a box of chicken nugget dinosaurs (honestly think there's less preservatives in them!) and some McCains chips. Hard to believe you could feel ripped off by a $10 pub feed yet here I am. Atmosphere is whatever, not special enough to ever attend this place again - too many other greats pubs around!

Great local pub with fantastic atmosphere any day of the week. Jazz upstairs on Sunday afternoons.
Not too fussed about the new eatery area they have tacked on but otherwise it's close to the perfect English style pub.

The Dud' has been around a long time. That usually means one of 2 things. Time has one of 2 effects on eateries. Either they slowly decay like an unbrushed tooth in a lolly addicts mouth. Or... they learn what they're good at, get better at it, listen to what works for the punters, and deliver it. That's what they do here...the basics are as well navigated as a Sherpa led expedition. I even tested out their kitchen by ordering gnocchi. Gotta say, it passed the test. May the Dud' continue to hang about.

Old time establishment with great food. Sunday roast is unreal, arguably the best in Sydney. Feels very much like the community living room, nice warm feel and you can drink on the streets outside which is a unlikely quirk.

The old part of the pub is very nice and charming ... sadly it's all ruined by the female manager who's clearly not suited for the role!! She was very rude and aggressive without any reasons, reading some others reviews seems she's quite incline to this kind of behavior ..
In addition to that I paid 30 bucks for the worst rump steak I've had in ages, chewy, no sauce and wrongly cooked from what I've asked but honestly much better than the manager ?
My friends dishes were ok, lamb shoulder was good, beers are good however there's plenty of other pubs with good selection of beers, average food and much friendly staff to choose. Goodbye ??'?

Enjoyed the chicken and leak pie, washed down with a 2023 limited release Balter Mellow Gold, in a great looking old pub.

A fabulous cosy pub with a nostalgic vibe. Everyone there is friendly and all patrons consider the enjoyment of others. The food is wonderful, plentiful and arrives soon after ordering. Look forward to visiting in Summer, I am sure it will be fantastic!

The food can be hit and miss but nothing beats the atmosphere of an old English pub. Very cozy vibes in winter.

Atmosphere and location very nice. Huge servings. We had several dishes between 5 people. English fare is not something we'd have very often, as it's quite "heavy" food, but it all tasted good and forced us to go for a walk to Rushcutters Bay afterwards to help digest it all! If you like Bangers & Mash or a bit of roast, you'll love this.

Awesome local English style pub. Hang out with the locals on the street and grab a few schooners on a sunny afternoon or chill out inside on the couches. Food is decent too with plenty of room upstairs and down in the garden.

Classic auld English-style pub with darts, pies and some good local brews in schooners or pints. Traditional atmosphere with the suitable old school 80s tunes.
Pleasant inside and quite cosy, great members of staff, with dark lighting and restaurant style facilities as well for a sit down meal of a proper grub.
Prices tend to be as expected for this part of town, so expect to pay a fair penny.

Good ambience, food came out quick and hot however disappointed with the Yorkshire puddings and both roasts absolutely covered in gravy.. way too much which spoilt the dish in my opinion and it mixed in with the apple sauce.. nice pub, but not an amazing roast like I was expecting

One of the best Sunday roasts in Sydney. Really homely pub on a Sunday night and perfect for hearty food like a roast. Old character and lots of beers on tap and great menu range. Food was incredible, one of the best schnitzels in Sydney, even the Caesar Salad was excellent, can't recommend enough and will be returning.

Only sharing this in hope they will improve this dish!! I absolutely love sweet potato fries , but today i had possibly the worst I ever had.
To soft , too sweet, floppy.
Usually food is always fantastic here we almost come every weekend its our favourite pub in Sydney. But today they disappointed. You cant serve this.

What an awesome local pub, very much reminds me of an inner city pub in London. Nicely poured pint of Guinness and Sunday lunch, which was fantastic (and massive). Service is great, very friendly. Venue has a good amount of space, really nice fit out (London pub vibes).

Signature / almost Heritage established Pub. Tight space to all floors, tight staircases for circulation, an old building.

Reasonable food and wines / alcohol.

Wish that they can invest a generous budget to conduct a presentable Renovation and truly Cleanup each and every corner of their Interiors and Amenities.

Windows should be opened in dry weather for a Thorough Natural Ventilation at all times.

Services is normal, just pub services like other pubs.

A pub which never disappoints! Cosy, charming and a great place to while away hours with friends, from boardgames by the fireplace to listening to live music in the Guinness room. Food is excellent and the drinks well poured!

As Irish inspired pubs in Sydney go, this one is pretty good. Felt right at home here.

Great old style hotel. Beef cheeks were soft on the inside and a bit crispy on the outside, really nice.

Arguably the most English of pubs in Sydney. Nice cozy atmosphere, good beer and food. What's not to like. Actually I would prefer it without music but it wasn't too loud.

Disappointing lunch. Hubby had the fish of day which he enjoyed but was more like an entree size. I had the Sunday lamb roast. Star of the dish were the carrots, pumpkin, gravy and mint jelly. Over-cooked chunks of lamb. Service good.

The Sunday roast was okay, but it lacked veggies and the Yorkshire pudding was cold, chewy and store bought which let the dish down a lot. But overall great pub atmosphere upstairs.
