Came for dinner, on a Saturday night with a booking of 30 people.
Place was fully booked out, do recommend booking for a weekend table in advance.
Staff was fantastic to accommodate us all, food came out quick, hot and really lovely.

$12 cocktail I highly recommend

Came here for lunch today with some friends. Absolutely amazing on all counts. 5????? across the board. I had the slow cooked lamb shanks with mash potato, gravy and peas. A hearty meal. Meat was cooked to perfection ... literally falling off the bone. When lunch was served I was pleasantly surprised at the portion size of each meal, not one lamb shank but two ... 100% value for money. We had and amazing day all round. Nice cosy atmosphere, Just the kind of vibe to enjoy a catchup and laughter with friends. Delicious food, served with minimal waiting time and friendly staff whose service was second to none. It was an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this place to eat if like me, you enjoy hearty food a warm atmosphere and excellent customer service. We recently dined here after a not so great experience a couple of months ago and found this visit fantastic. Thanks to Tess who went above and beyond took our booking just before service and the dining staff. The meals were excellent & hit the spot.

Loving the SportsBar menu its tasty and excellent value! Only let down by Reeaaaalllyyy long wait times from the kitchen. Like REALLY long. I gotta get back to work and most of my lunch break is over by the time the meal arrives.
The staff are nice and friendly too.

Essentially no atmosphere as its a gambling pub so it's a plain room focused on TVs with racing for betting. Ignore that and its a good lunch venue

Went on Monday night without booking, it took a little bit while to get seated while it's not busy at the time. The food is not bad, it's served faster than expected, probably because there are not many customers. In all it is not a bad pub in melton.

I went there last Friday night and the highlight of my experience was the amazing bar tender demi , she was super kind, friendly, and made us feel like we were at home, the food was also sensational especially the steak sandwich , I will definitely be coming back.

Tom provided wonderful service for our family in the sports bar. Friendly & helpful. Where's Jake? Another barman who always has a welcoming smile & is great with the kids. Bistro staff member Kirstyn is always smiling and her service on point.

8 of us turned up and had a great meal and lovely catch up. In particular Mary was really, really helpful and a lovely lady. We want to say a big thankyou to her and Jody and the other staff for making us so welcome and for looking after all of so well. We all highly recommend this place. We loved it! ?

Compliments to Chef Mark. The food was delicious! Steaks were perfectly good. We frequent many ALH hotels in Victoria and can vouch that this is one of the best in the state. The service by the wait staff is always pleasant. Thank you ladies!

Had a family function here. I ordered a meal that had steak on it and the steak definitely wasn't worth the price that I paid for. Whoever was cooking that day couldn't cook steak. Otherwise everything was good.

My 3 work mates & l enjoyed yet another lovely well priced meal . The garlic & cheese bread is delicious & all of our mains were spot on. The portion sizes & price very good also.

Food was nice, drinks were cheap. It was very rowdy but overall a nice place. It think it would benefit from having some areas more designated to sit and eat/drink away from the partiers in the pool area. But overall, good pub.

I have had many great meals every time .. Except . The other night I went with family and only my tea (steak) left a taste of cardboard in my mouth. First time ever I didn't eat my meal. Not sure what went wrong.. Staff were very sorry, and the young man who made me a coffee was absolutely beautiful.

Amazing meals with a even better service Lee Katelyn and Sam were so polite nice and well presented. Bar service by Jenny was not faulted as well so polite and helpful.

Came on a night when they were very busy, 3 tables had birthdays. The staff are new and very friendly polite and courteous. Had the chicken schnitzel with chips salad and mushroom sauce absolutely beautiful. From the time we were seated to our meals being ordered I would say it was probably 10 minutes. Great service

I loved my steak, it was cooked perfectly medium rare, so tasty and great texture. I'm normally hesitant to order steaks at pubs but it was excellent!
It is a family pub and that's exactly the atmosphere you get but the 5 stars are for honest good well prepared food ?

A friend and I had lunch today from the Seniors menu - fish 'n chips and a chicken schnitzel with veggies. Both meals were cooked perfectly and presently promptly. Service was excellent. Venue was very clean and bright. Will definitely be back.

Must say my meal tonight was delicious. I had BBQ pork ribs and they melted off the bone. It was beautiful. The staff here are so friendly. The play ground was perfect to occupy the kids. I will for sure be coming back. Thank you macs hotel. I had a great night. It was great to see staff with a smile

Absolutely horrible experience.
We had a table booked. When we arrived it took almost 10 minutes to be acknowledged and seated. The waitress (for lack of a better term), then said "that's your table" and walked away.
I attempted to start a tab and nobody knew what to do and had to find the manager.
I asked for a menu and was told to line up at the bar.
We ordered some starters which were unpleasant and luke warm.
We went to order mains and were told there were no chips. The attitude of the waitress was incredibly rude.
Went to pay the tab and was told that it was for the food and that I would have to line up at the bar to pay for the drinks, which I didn't do.
Terrible venue. Terrible and rude people. Terrible non-existent service. Below average food. Will never return. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

Typical pub, has a decent selection of food. Serving size is large, even the kids menu. Mostly affordable. Plenty of seating and Small kids playground inside. Pokies next door. Free parking out front and back. Good for family gathering. Worth a visit.

Food was absolutely amazing. Good size portions. Served in a timely manner. Kids love the playground. Which is nice for them to enjoy after eating and can see them playing from every table. Highly recommend

Attended the macs hotel with my children and family for dinner. Very good food, the presentation and taste were fantastic. Staff very friendly and courteous.
I have been there a couple of times socially with friends and attended the sports bar. The staff there were so friendly and very kind. They went above and beyond to make your night there enjoyable.

Food is great, we love the table ordering system. There's no queueing for drinks or meal orders. Even though we had an issue with drinks, it was quickly resolved and the staff were very helpful.
We'll be back as we haven't had a bad experience yet.
Great place for kids too as they have a play area away from tables,, so I highly recommend it for families with young children.

If pub grubs what you're after then this place will tick the box. The food was simple, but nice, the service was friendly and fast, the atmosphere was family friendly bistro style. There was a playground for the kids and a large screen showing sport. Everyone's happy!

We were a table of 8 and all of us enjoyed our meals. The food was beautiful and it was served within a short time... The customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly and very accommodating ...the kids went to the play area and the adults had time to socialise. We will definitely be coming back ! Good job Macs Melton !

Came in for Christmas lunch yesterday and what can i say it was great. Big thanks to the lovely man at the door Shamus who sat us down and to Leanne the bistro supervisor who looked after our table, not only was she assisting us, she seemed to be the only one along side Shamus on the floor. Well done on great service and management Macs. Big complements to the chefs too.

Last night we had a function at Mac's and we have to say the service and the food was exceptional. The bistro supervisor Leanne was so lovely and constantly checking in on all the tables, and the other lovely lady that worked on the floor with Leanne, Cassie i think i heard her name was, was amazing. Well done Management on hiring 2 lovely ladies. You need more staff like them.

Great venue caters for all sorts including the punters, kids and the socialites! Meals were decent size and delicious. Will be returning (when we can!)

I frequently come to Mac's in Melton and normally we get good service but tonight hmmmm. Let's seeWe waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before meals came out. Some of meals were served 15 minutes ahead of the remaining party. 4 Orders had incorrect sides. steaks where cold so clearly they were sitting there and not brought out by staff. Left a little disappointed today

Had a great Seniors meal. I am not a great fish eater but decided to try the fish. It was absolutely delicious. Generous portion, very light batter and a salad. Staff were very friendly. Prices where very good. Would recommend to book as it became busy at lunch time. Would definitely go again.

Nice place to drink and relax. Television displays are good. Watch any sports with drinks
