Had dinner at the Mansfield Hotel bistro, which was fabulous. Friendly staff who provide table service and seated me in front of a crackling log fire. The meal was awesome. Very generous servings (I couldn't eat it all !!) at a really great price. Lovely place to dine close to the Victorian snow fields.

Great spot! We ate here a couple of times while we were here before the end of the season, both times greeted by the friendly front of house staff who took us to our tables and informed us what the specials were for the night which was nice, burgers were good, lamb shank gnocchi was super tasty, and the roast which was carved to order and came with fresh crackle was just what you would hope for in a country pub, meals were prompt, looks like they do pizzas too which we'll have to try next time good job 😀

The food here was so good!! Honestly a lot better than expected given our experience with rural-ish pubs that charge exorbitant prices and serve average food just because there's less competition compared to metro. The meals were super hearty and satisfying after a long drive. Plus the staff were super friendly! Will be our go-to if we're in the area again

Was in Mansfield for two nights and ended up dinning both nights at the hotel! Food was amazing and perfectly cooked medium steak, hence going back a second time and cocktails spot on! The staff were so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.

Dining on a very busy school holiday evening mid week we were promptly and warmly greeted. Staff immediately told us the wait on food would be an hour which we really appreciated and told them we were happy to wait.
The meals were very generous, beautifully presented and thoroughly enjoyable. We noticed all their team working swiftly and efficiently together - a credit to the business.

We enjoyed the food. It felt fresh and most importantly all the food was at the right temperature. The outstanding part, however, was the service which was just fantastic. There was very little waiting time and the waiters were very attentive. We went back mainly because of the great service.
