My partner and I came down for the new years. We were not expecting much however the hotel exceeded our expectations. Lovely staff, cleaning staff attentive, amazing view, lots of parking. I was worried that due to the bistro it may be loud at night but it was far from that. If you want a calm relaxed stay with minimal amount of noise I would ??'? recommend this place. I will be returning in the future :-)

This place backs on to the water, so it has a nice view. We walked into the bar to watch the footy only to be told they dont have fox sports? We left and went elsewhere to have a few drinks and watch the footy. My sister stayed and said the motel rooms were nice.

Rooms are a bit old and lack in maintenance. The smallest shower ever with rust around the fittings.saggy bed. The only good thing about this place is the location to walk to near by cafes. Aircon filters not cleaned and very dirty.
One night is enough for me.

Rooms run down, old and not very clean. Pillows like flat not comfortable , bathroom doesn't have fan or window so it smells. Feel like don't want to touch unless have too.
Staff are friendly. Available carpark and close to shops, cafes

Was greeted with 'oh great I don't have to call you' on arrival as it was 6.30pm. Sign at reception says 'reception open 11am - 7pm. Completely run down rooms. Rooms were old, could hear a baby screaming from across the hall and anyone walking past my door. This is due to paper thin walls and door not fitting correctly leaving a gap. No utensils, only kettle and cup. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Bed and pillows were old and flat. Only some rooms have views, the rest overlook the hotel roof, airconditioners and satellite dishes or had windows with no fly screens. Staff weren't friendly, not even accommodating when asking a question cause they were too busy. I wouldn't give this a single star rating. I was there for work and a local asked where I was staying and I said the worst hotel and they said 'the Mariners' . Even the locals know it's astrocious.

We booked a room for just 1 night and we didn't even stay for it. I'm amazed this property is still standing considering the state of it. The cracks throughout the building are HUGE and the concrete surfaces are extremely uneven, we were on the 3rd floor and could see through the concrete slabs to the 2nd floor. I understand cracks and uneven surfaces are completely normal for older buildings but this was next level! The door way in the room we were given looked as though it was rotting away, the fly wire on the bathroom window had broken off therefore letting all bugs in, the sliding doors hardly slid open and the smell when we walked in was enough for us to turn around. I booked based on good reviews that I had read and was shocked upon arrival that people seemed to think this is a "clean" property. This property was extremely rundown and not well looked after. I would not recommend staying here unless the only thing you are after is location.
We had a much more pleasant experience at Bateman's Bay Lodge, where we ended up staying for the night.

The staff were amazing, I felt welcomed & warmth from the staff the moment I stepped inside. Anything I needed to help with my medical condition, they went the extra mile to make sure I was accommodated.

The receptionist was amazing, had great recommendations for food spots & places to visit & always greeted us with a warm smile & questions about our day. Added a beautiful personal touch to our experience.

The room was immaculate when we walked, the spa bath on our balcony was easy to use, the bathroom was squeaky clean, had an air conditioner that worked well, our balcony had beautiful ocean views & a beautiful view of the outside seating area.

Honestly, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Definitely going to book again for our next trip to the Bay.

Paid $210.00 per night......superior room with water view. Worst hotel ever been to. Outdated rooms, every door squeaked, paper thin walls, booked room for two people only three pillows not 4, only 1 set of towels. Included toiletries consisted of 4 shampoo, no conditioner, no extra toilet paper. Sliding fly screen door fell off. Television as big as a computer screen. The bed is on rollers and the springs of the bed stuck into you all night. Suffice to say no sleep. Only entry to rooms via two staircases per floor. Paid for two nights could not stay for a second. No one to complain to as reception does not open until 11am.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in the deluxe room at Mariners on the Waterfront and overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The standout feature of this room was undoubtedly the jacuzzi. It was not only spacious but also worked flawlessly, providing a truly relaxing and enjoyable soak. This feature alone made the stay memorable.

Cleanliness was a strong point during my visit. The room was spotless, and the washroom was immaculate. It's evident that the housekeeping team takes their job seriously, and it greatly contributed to the overall comfort of the stay.

However, one downside was the absence of a minibar, despite it being listed in the amenities. While not a deal-breaker, it was a slight disappointment.

The room's lake view was breathtaking, but it could be enhanced further. I suggest replacing one of the walls with glass to fully capitalize on the picturesque scenery. This small adjustment would make a world of difference to the overall experience.

Mariners on the Waterfront also offers a pub and kitchen, which is a convenient option for guests who prefer to dine on-site. The variety of offerings and the quality of the food were commendable.

The staff at Mariners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to the stay.

The hotel is in a great location which provides direct access to the lake footpath and the street of cafes/takeaway options in Batemans Bay. The rooms were clean and staff were really lovely to deal with. We also received complimentary drinks in our room upon arrival.

Not a bad little rest stop: well situated and friendly, the beds were a bit dodgy: the doubles too hard, the singles too soft, and the pillows are the type that seal your ear and threaten to suck your eardrum out, while making rustling noises with every breath, not my favourite. But the rooms were clean and affordable and location is great for those who are lucky enough for a longer stay. Negative points for the noisy forklift working away from the early hours - beep, beep, beep, beep - no chance of sleeping in through that lot!

Definitely one of the best rooms I have stayed in. The outside spa on our private balcony was absolutely amazing with stunning water views. Room was so clean and comfortable and staff were lovely. 10/10 would definitely recommend for a nice relaxing stay with your partner or even with your kids with the beautiful pool with gorgeous beach views!

Good comfy bed, hot good shower and clean. Check-in staff were helpful. No view at all- rooms at the back of the building. Bathroom door wouldn't shut. Air-con was good for us in winter, but a notice on the back of the door said you'll get a dripping sound if you set below 22 degrees. Some smoke smell when windows open- above a hotel.

Rooms are a little dated but it's in a great location and the staff are friendly.
Most importantly, they have biscuits with the tea and coffee, something most hotels have stopped doing.
Also the complimentary drinks are a nice touch.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and always smiling. The hotel club was busy which was a good sign, nice staff there also, the food was ok but took a very long time (it was very busy so understandable). The location is nice however we did not expect to look out of our room onto other rooms. The way the buildings are angled, half of the view is of other people looking out at you also and half of the view is the water. Overall, a good experience.

Fabulous position and great views over the Clyde River. However the worst night sleep we have ever had. The mattress was old and felt the coils were going to pierce the mattress fabric. The sliding door to our balcony couldn't be locked and a flimsy hook secured it. Actually sliding doors were coming off their tracks. Not a secure feeling during the night. We did speak to reception on checking out however we were met with oh nobody else has complained and "that's the way it is" We will not be going back!!

Great location! But rooms need renovation. Our room had a patched up ceiling and a bathroom style panel behind the television. The screen door was old and kept coming off it's track.

A fantastic place to stay. Travelling with family for a swimming competition. Beds were very comfy, tea and coffee available, bar fridge, TV, air-conditioning and balcony overlooking the water. Gorgeous! Went downstairs to the bar for drinks and snacks and then a short walk to a restaurant for dinner. An excellent experience and we've booked in again. Definitely stay here!
Excellent service from Chrissy at the front desk! We arrived on the eve of Labour Day, 3 people with 3 bikes and she kindly and efficiently accommodated a safe place for us to park our bikes. Even arranged for our early check out and got up early to accommodate us leaving. The room was clean & comfortable. The location was also perfect for us, so close to restaurants, waterfront and the main bus stop. Highly recommended and please give Chrissy a raise!

Not impressed. Bathroom is small, no exhaust fan, blocked basin, leaking shower (doors don't open or close properly). Lack of hot water in shower. Smoke detector covered up. No toaster wine glasses or microwave. Pool was padlocked shut even though filter was going. Sliding door to outside doesn't open fully gets stuck. Blanket was old and dirty which made us wonder about the linen. Booked for 2 nights only stayed for 1 night so not happy with the room. Felt like pests not guests when we complained.

Our favourite go-to place for lunch in Batemans Bay whenever we visit. We ordered a Chicken Parmigiana and a Chicken Schnitzel, and both our meals were absolutely delicious - and took very little time from ordering to delivery.
The staff are beautifully friendly and the views of the mouth of the Clyde River exiting out to the Tasman Sea are glorious.
Indoor or open air seating complete what is, for us, a great dining experience every single time ?

Room with a view. Was very nice and comfy. clean all you need for a night away or longer..the lady at the reception was lovely nice to be greeted with a smile..great spot..close to the shops ..clubs and street parking was good too.walking distance to everything.
Room was good. WiFi worked well.. a nice touch with complimentary
drinks on arrival to the room..we will stay here again..had a great time..??

The room was neat and the bed comfortable right next to the pool area (no good in June) and a view to the Clyde? river. Free soft drinks and bottled water on arrival however we couldn't get the air-conditioning heater going.
In the small bathroom, the shower recess was quite small and the toilet cubical cramped.
The staff were very good and friendly from the greeting at nearly 7 pm to quickly bringing a portable electric fan heater and getting the A/C working at about 40%.
We had dinner in their bistro where the staff and service were good but the food was mediocre at best but charged restaurant prices. My wife and I both lost our appetites and got take away trays but the food was eventually fed to the dog at home.
They only serve breakfast on weekends and we were there on a Tuesday. We probably wouldn't have had breakfast in their bistro anyway after that dinner but we found a reasonably good breakfast Cafe next-door.
In a nutshell, it was a good bed overnight at short notice on an unplanned trip.
It may have been a better experience in peak season summer, who knows. ???"?

What a beautiful little place to stay, the staff were so inviting from the get go, the rooms were quaint and well kept and the bistro was great. Very impressed, I will definitely be back with my family.

Clean room, nothing spectacular, refurbished bathroom. Close enough to everything in town within walking distance.
The pub attached to motel was closed before 9.30pm. Local pub closed at 10pm. Not much of a night life within town.

The room was very clean and good to see a newly renovated bathroom. Wifi was shocking - did not connect and had to hot spot off our phones. The mattress could do with an update, quite springy. Quite expensive for what we got (though the view was nice, although we paid $220 for an executive spa suite). Location was good.

Great for a 3 star hotel. Location excellent with on-site parking. Best features are the waterfront position, food in the hotel bistro and the shower water pressure. Not really well finished inside the rooms but clean, air-conditioned and daily house keeping. Good relaxed stay overall.

2nd time staying here with wife and son. Will be back for more stays. Nicely set out outdoor area, children play area, picnic area. On water. Clean tidy rooms. Reasonable pricing on accommodation, friendly staff. Room service. I recommend

I have had lunch here a few times over the years , when I holiday in Batemans bay. The views of the water are beautiful, and the food is nice. Quick service, very friendly staff.
Took friends there and they enjoyed their lunches and the whole feel of the place

Simple rooms here, a dated building but modernised furnishings.
The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable.
Tea and Coffee facilities provided, fridge and, hair dryer.
We had a bath on the decking outside which was again clean and a nice relaxing add on after a day on the road.
Desk is staffed day and night by phone.
Pub downstairs is closed Monday and Tuesday though.

Great place to go... the last few times I've been have been terrible. Each time I've asked the chefs name and it was Adam. He belongs in a takeaway. Adam please find your love for the trade again.

A good place to relax n have a feed . Glorious water views great food, playground for kids. Beer on tap what more could you ask for. Ample parking
Lovely meal
We had great steaks for lunch and a couple of beers. Meal was tasty and plentiful. Beer & wine was cold. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Happy customers all round. Definitely recommend. Jan21

We'll situated beside the water, a balcony room provides the perfect way to enjoy the view, especially when armed with a cool drink or two. The rooms are clean and well presented. The bar and bistro are great and mean you don't have to travel far too enjoy an evening out.

Decor dated rooms need work doors are hard to open and close on balcony. Food average at best. Salt and pepper squid with chips all from a mcains packet.Plus nice view and friendly staff
Denise Langtip
Nice motel, great views, clean and comfortable. The hotel had great food, drinks reasonable priced, excellent outdoor area with great views and very friendly and helpful staff with a great sense of humour. We all had a fantastic weekend, look forward to doing it again, thanks guys.

Stunning and peaceful location, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were a little run down - could do with a renovation. Lots of little bugs flying around inside the motel. Other than that- would recommend

We were EXTREMELY disappointed with what was advertised on with rooms looking decent and paying extra for a room that looked nothing like what was shown and presented to us for the stay!!It was a surprise for my partner, and our son and was a pretty major let down..Shower was cold, then it would go scorching hot; screen on shower had a a gap for some reason which would cause water to flood the bathroom, seals on glass door looked filthy and no real reason to be there at all honestly leaving a gap you could fit a brick through! No privacy in shower, anyone walking past can see into shower (unless its during the day)! No bin in toilet so it's a bit inconvenient for the ladies! Soap Shampoo Conditioner all smelt disgusting; not the beachy fresh feel you want at all! Shower experience was the poorest I've ever experienced. Toilet button would jam, which would leave the toilet water gushing! Had to call room service, and we were asked to be more gentle which was far from the problem! FYI we tried using the phone in room to contact staff, yeah that didn't work either. No dail tone, no power!!Bed experience was poor, pillows came in all shape and sizes. The mattress was the old spring mattress so very springy and crunchy; sleeping on it was uncomfortable overall. I woke up the next day and examined the linen, wish I didn't! Hair and eye lashes all through it! Disgusting!!The balcony screen door was broken, so had to have glass door closed at all times which was frustrating!Over all the experience was not pleasant at all! I got ripped off and that's what grinds me the most..Nice view and that's literally it!This place would suite more as a back packers lodge, or motel definitely not a hotel!
