Mercure Canberra in Braddon ACT

The Mercure Canberra is a hotel in Braddon, Australian Capital Territory. They offer accommodation.
Stayed over the Easter long weekend and had a wonderful time. During the Easter period there was kids hour (4-5pm) of free hot chocolate and homemade biscuits. They also had kids activity of colouring which my toddler loved doing every night. It would be good to have colouring table every day during the school holidays not just the Easter period. They also have 2 fish tanks on both sides of the building. One has the larger koi fishes which my toddler has to say hi every time we walk past. The room was massive and had lots of free space even with a cot in our room. Only downside with a big room, we had to have the heater on full blast to heat up the room. For the buffet breakfast they didn't have the biggest selection but enough to cover the standard (incl eggs to order) and for $26 (if you pay on the spot) it's worth it. The reception staff were lovely every time we asked for assistance. We will be back on our next trip to Canberra.

Love the fact that dogs are welcomed and there's a place where can eat with them in the warmth. Very convenient location. Great rooms for pet owners. Ours had a few maintenance issues but the staff were very attentive and onto it.

I visited for a conference and my husband and dog joined me for the trip. We had a wonderful time and the room was very comfortable and suitable for a small dog. The hotel has a few pet-friendly areas, having two people was helpful, as one could order meals etc, while the other sat with the dog. The staff were kind and helpful. We had a delightful stay.

The hotel is located close to attractions as well as close to the shops and restaurants.
The deluxe loft was very spacious and well designed. Brand new bathroom and fittings and comfy bed. Balcony overlooking the garden was a treat and even witnessed a wedding reception.
Lam at the Concierge Desk had been excellent and was helpful in sorting out everything for us! Thank you Lam!

I stayed at this Hotel on my recent bus tour The , room was great , Front desk staff were great , nothing was a problem to assist . The location was good , meals were prepared which I found fell short of expectations Food offered was similar each day . desserts were dry and stale, And no cream custard offered to allow easy swallowing. coffee machine was not working and people were forced to buy coffee at the bistro . Breakfast staff were very abliging and met all expectations of a lovely start to my day .

The hotel has so much history and character. The rooms definitely need a refreshing done, though, especially the carpet. I stayed in a loft room, which was very cool. Although one thing reception should probably ask the guest is if they are ok to walk up stairs as their bathroom and bedroom are located in the loft while the kitchen and lounge are downstairs.
Overall, the service was really good. Breakfast was nice as well! Good variety of things to eat.
