Great atmosphere ðŸ'Œ definitely coming back.

What a great traditional country pub. Amazing meals, great atmosphere and super friendly service. The Miners Rest Tavern has tradition pub meals that are perfect after a long day hiking.

15/10. Lamb shank out of this world. Simple country pub. Staff go beyond and made sure we were accommodated for when we asked about dietary requirements.

Dropped on for a beer . Great little pub . Definitely be back for a meal .

Went for dinner 2nd Sept. The 5 of us all had a different meal and were all commenting on how good it was and great value for money. The Miners Rest community certainly has a great Pub.

Friday night, place is packed, screaming kids everywhere. Need to book a table otherwise you get stuck in the cold area near where the smokers go and leave the door open.
Snitzel very ordinary, hardly any chips, not sure why they can't serve the salad on the plate? Have to go looking for the bay-maree. We also had the
satay chicken, not spicy at all, bit plain
Hosts seemed nice and the beer is cold. 2 stars for that.

Meal was superb , very big parma's and a choice of 5 different sorts,,, Thursday night parma night ,only thing is it would be good to be able to order a garlic bread as well but carnt.

I won't be back as there is not alot of communication with staff. Our orders were not what we asked for. For example when someone asks for NO gravy they mean it, also I asked for only vegetables NO chips. And what did we get . Not happy .

Have been going here with my family for years. Went the other night for a birthday dinner and the food took over 45 mins to hit the table. No steaks were ordered and 1 meal was even forgotten. We took the cake home as it was too late to eat it. We usually enjoy our time at the beautiful little country pub but was not enjoyable that time.

Been a couple of times on my way through for work and loved it. Generous, tasty meals, friendly service and a warm, welcoming and down to earth ambience. No bull, no pretentiousness - just a good old country pub. Well worth a visit even if you're in Ballarat - you won't regret it!

The meals were great. They took a while, but the staff were swamped with unexpected patrons. We had wait staff check on us and keep us informed as to how long our meals would be. Quirky, country pub feel about the place that is clearly loved by locals.
