Metro Hotel Miranda, Miranda NSW

We travel a lot. I wouldn't reccomend this place and i would stay here again.

The first room we were given was on a balcony that link to other rooms and felt dingy/dusty and dark. We asked to move and were put upstars. The room was lighter but the condition of the room was terrible!

There was tape holding the roof up in parts, other parts the roof was sagging down. The window was broken, the walls were dirty and the entire room felt completely trashed and dated.

The bed was clean and the TV was huge and offered Netflix, YouTube etc and it was across the road from Westfield BUT I felt dirty being at this hotel and i wouldn't go back.

If you have no choice its still a fine place for a night to have a roof over your head but it is most definitely not a 'holiday's or 'weekend getaway' hotel and to be honest the building feels like an old retirement home that needs to be knocked down.

Located near Westfield Miranda is a nice touch. With restaurants close by. The rooms are below average. The photos are too generous to how they actually look inside. The service may as well be non-existent with itsnpn sliding doors with very old lifts. Definitely needs a revamp. 2 stars is generous.

Terrible. Staff were incredibly hostile and unaccommodating. Owner flags all negative reviews to inflate their overall rating and makes up stories to gaslight reviewers and damage control.

RE: Hi Stephen, we're pleased to hear that you're trying to improve your hotel and you're allowed to have your own opinion but the facts are that we are not responsible for your choice to replace the carpet. Additionally the treatment of your staff by us is again, just your opinion. We left them alone and treated them what most people would consider as acceptable. Your staff did not assist us to the best of their abilities which is why we're deciding to reward you with an appropriate rating.

I stayed at Metro Miranda Friday-Sunday 19-21 April 2024, along with another relative (we were two single women and had a room each with queen and single bed, singles weren't needed). We booked 2-3 months ago for a family celebration. The staff were very friendly and obliging, but the hotel and our rooms were very, very tired and in need of much repair. Also only one elevator worked, I was told by another guest it was not working when she stayed there in January. My room on the third floor had a tiny bathroom vanity bowl with chipped laminate around it, mirror which had been there since the motel first opened I'd say and had black marks around the glass, and broken pipe near toilet. There was a ripped sheer curtain, and a tiny balcony which a chair and table would not fit on. Our balcony had a view of Westfield. The reason I was very disappointed (with MY room particularly) is that we paid $733 for each room for the three nights, which had to be paid in full when booked 2-3 months ago. I realise accommodation in Sydney is not cheap but the rooms certainly were not worth that. I also noted the large planter box at the lobby entrance, full of plastic flowers. I'd suggest if you don't want real flowers, don't have plastic. They make the place look really cheap!
