Mount Carbine Hotel Motel

Visited 9/9/2024. Great food and beer ice cold. Great atmosphere and great to just relax while listening to some music. Highly recommended and well worth the stop. If staying in local caravan park, make sure you grab a drink and something to eat.

My $16 hamburger was basic...I was only person there ...sitting area is relaxing.

Absolutely amazing awesome pub to stop both on the way to and on the way back from Cooktown or further north.
The steak sandwich was absolutely amazing along with all the rest of the meals. We had both lunch and dinner here.
The new owner Mitch has started doing the place up and him and his staff are doing an absolutely amazing job.
We have visited quite a few pubs so far around OZ and for me, it's one of the best 😀.
I have never before given a 5 star rating. But The place and Mitch deserve it. Well done Mitch. We will definitely be back 🥂🍻

Enjoyed a delicious pub meal while staying at the Mount Carbine caravan park on our way north. New licensee is doing a great job and currently has a German chef. Good atmosphere, good food, good prices. Definitely worth a stop if travelling to or from the Cape.

Hotdog was ordinary.Cauld do with a good quality German sausage. Chips were great . Beer was cold . Was nice to just sit for lunch . Hold your breath if u use the urinal. The smell was over powering. The guy behind the bar had a great personality.

The new owner is friendly and welcoming, he's really keen to bring the hotel back to it's full potential. It's well worth doing in here when passing through Mount Carbine to have a look at the memorabilia that's on display.
