Stopped here overnight in a hotel room, found the staff fantastic the food over delivered, ordered the beef cheeks, sensational the best I've eaten, cold drinks available and if you get a flat tyre that can be fixed.
Camping is available with showers and toilets open 24 hours.
You'll find some great memorabilia on the walls.
Great stop midway Maree to Birdsville.

The meals were fantastic. Rooms are bare minimum - no kettle or toaster. Showers are nice and hot. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

In the vast expanse of the outback, this spot is nothing short of sensational. It's the kind of place that demands you pull over, kick back, and enjoy its unique vibe for a day or maybe even a tad longer.

An iconic hotel situated on the Birdsville Track.
The sunrise/sunsets here are amazing.
You can either camp here, or stay in one of the small rooms.
Toilet and shower facilities are available if you're camping.
The beer was all in cans, but it was cheaper than some other less remote places I'd visited.
The food (only had dinner here) was pretty damn good.
You should expect the fuel to be expensive, but you'd be silly to think otherwise.

Make sure you have enough fuel and food so you can drive straight past.
Very expensive 2 toasted sandwiches and two beers $40, which I think is expensive
30 cents dearer (on the day) than the towns, either side and freight, isn't that expensive ( I know I work in fuel freight)
If you don't have to stop then don't.
