National Hotel Motel Bendigo

We made the booking online and it's really easy. We ate at the Bistro and the staff was nice and friendly. We ordered a beef burger, barramundi fillets, lamb salad, beef lasagne, and a tasting plate as entree. The tasting plate has pork belly, chicken spring roll, pumpkin arancini ball and calamari strips. The pork belly was so tender and juice, highly recommend. The food was out fast and they look great and taste incredible. We will definitely go back another time!

Been coming to this pub for years our family celebrates most birthdays here kids and adults, the staff is always fabulous and the food well the best pub meals you'll get in Bendigo. From the calamari to the arancini open lamb souvas are always 10/10

Cons-
Reception were fairly rude when checking in.
Smoke alarm kept going off randomly all night, when trying to contact reception there was no answer? So do we just call 000? To resolve the issue? Silly really. Person upstairs was very very loud at early hours of morning. We understand people have lives and everyone is noisy here and there. But wearing heels in a 2 story building is a bit silly.
When we told reception about smoke alarm and how they should have a number to call for stuff like that she just shrugged us off...

Bed was very hard could feel the springs.

Pros.

Room was spacious
Tv was fairly new with netflix etc
Room was clean to a degree
Fast check inn

Would i stay again? Yes but only if issues were rectified...

Not a bad place to stay in Bendigo. Rooms are comfortable. Has a pool,. It's more than a walk into town but the attached bar and restaurant are not bad. The food in the bar is quite good. The lamb rack was on the special board and was delicious.

It was nice. Parking is a little all over the place.
The food was good from the bistro, but they dropped it off at our room, and then the bloke dropping it off had no idea what we do with the tray after we were done. We put it outside like you would anywhere else, and it was still there in the morning. Tried to call them from the room prior to even ordering, and it just rang out.
Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Bring your own pillow
