As many reviews suggest before the food is incredible.
The vibe is very good, lots of parking around and camping is available if asking the owners nicely.

Stayed 2 nights in the well maintained paddock out the back. Publican Tony and his staff are awesome and have amazing advice on what to see locally. The food is next level. I had the signature dish, Carpetbag steak filled with Tassie scallops and topped with curry sauce. So tender and flavoursome and, take it from 'the seagull', the chips were the bomb. Next night I had to try one of their many Snitty's, (flip the menu over)?. Sandstorm was my choice and there was awhile lotta FOMO going on around me.
Heads up. On the 2nd March 2023 they have a Blues and Roots Festival at the pub. Great acts...don't miss it.

Every time I eat at the National Park Hotel, I get service with a smile and a great meal. The food is spectacular and the menu has something for everyone. They even have sausages and chips for the kids which my fussy boys gobble down in a flash. The atmosphere is great and it is everything that you can want for a country pub meal in the beautiful Tassie Western Wilds country side. If you love a parmi, you will love their parmi options - I particularly like the Mac and Cheese topper!! And don't miss their dessert menu!! The sticky date pudding is home made and delicious.

Tasty variety of meals with background music in a country pub setting. Meals are pricier than some suburban pubs, but they are not the same when it comes to quality or variety of offerings.

So grateful we dropped in. Google says they are temporarily closed but they are OPEN and served us the best lamb shank pot pies we've ever had! Exceptional, friendly service. We highly recommend!

We booked in for a Sunday night due to winter opening day restrictions. This is a true country pub, friendly staff and locals, small menu but everything on it was well prepared and served quickly. The prices were good especially for the size of the meals.

Not a lot to look at outside building wise, but the food is absolutely amazing. As vegetarian, it was, and is wonderful to see a fantastic variety and not a boring pasta dish to be seen (oh joy). The serving sizes are great and taste fantastic. I had the jack fruit with smoked sauce and cheese. OMG, HMMMMM. It's definitely a diamond in the bush. Can't wait to go back.

This place is a hidden gem ??'? the service is amazing all of the staff are so friendly and the food was superb one of the best pub meals I've ever had. To say it's a pub meal is an understatement. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious from the steak to the salad, the scallops were fresh and dessert was homemade and to die for. We highly recommend stopping here for a feed.

We stop there in order to enjoy the camp site for the national park. What a surprise! An amazing food, really tasty and generous! Staff so nice and smiling.
This place it's really worth it.
Definitely recommend to stop there even if is not for camp.

We stayed in our vans here to do the area over, the staff were super friendly & helpful, the beers - craft & normal - cold & tasty, & the meals were to die for - the calamari dish was best I've ever had, thanks Tony & crew ?

This would have to be my favourite meal of our whole holiday to Tasmania. Food is awesome staff are friendly, and the beer is cold. Definitely a hidden gem! Well worth stopping in.

We went for a day trip to the Gordan Dam, Tall trees and Waterfalls walk.
We stopped by the hotel for dinner a nice small pub, indoor / outdoor dining and they offer camping out the back. Lots of funny locals soo must be the best place to be. ??'?

We stayed in the paddock behind the pub. Had a great meal with really friendly people, staff and service. It was so busy, but they got our order correct and it was fast and very tasty. Would love to come back.

Had a mixed grill and a couple drinks. The Meats were cooked to perfection and the salad had a tasty little honey mustard style dressing that complimented the chippies and meat to a tee. Friendly staff and a great little local feel. Highly recommended ??'?

A great place for a beer and a yarn with genuine and friendly owners, welcoming locals who love to share knowledge of their area and a great warm open fire. But stay for dinner if you can. Delicious meals, nicely prepared

A warm and lively pub. The bar tender and his wife were very welcoming. We really enjoyed the pizzas they made, and a local apple and blueberry cider - the bartender told us it was only one of two venues to sell it.

Very nice lunch with great beer and a pool table. Perfect way to spend few hours with friends and family after Mt Field.

Amazing pizza best ever!! Service impeccable, friendly and relaxed, roaring fire to sit beside on cosy chesterfield sofa, great tunes from a local guy playing acoustic guitar.. what more can you ask for??

The new owners of this Pub have a wonderful service attitude & are very keen to make your visit special. We were there on a night where they couldn't cope with the food service demand because the current kitchen is at the end of its economic life. They are putting in a much better kitchen commercial to ensure they can offer a better food menu to both locals & visitors.
Even though it took a bit long to have the food served, it was worth the wait. Fresh, local, organic produce cooked with love is hard to beat.
There is an excellent selection of Australian wines at reasonable prices plus a great range of local beers & cider.
I am sure that in the near future this Pub will become an iconic go to venue for food, drink, entertainment & service.

What a pleasant surprise and a hidden gem! We stopped in after completing the 2.5hr walk at the national park and had the BEST Parma!! Even better with live music and such lovely staff, we would make it a weekly thing if we weren't from VIC!
