Newmarket Hotel, Mascot NSW

We absolutely love this venue. Every weekend we take the family here for a meal and it never disappoints. The menu is great, something for everyone. Food is delicious, atmosphere is lively. The staff are delightful, especially the main hostess Debbie. Always greets us with a smile, welcoming and so attentive. We love our dinners out at New Market. Definitely the best pub in Sydney.

This place was busy when we got here for lunch. They serve excellent food here according to my friends, especially the pizza.

My friend ordered pizza for sharing and it's good. It's very flavorful and soft, not the crunchy crust that I preferred though. Apparently they make good pasta too. Sauce and pasta were well made and prepared.

I had half chicken and I didn't expect the portion to be so huge. It's the first time I had Yorkshire pudding and it's soooo goooood. It's very crunchy and flavorsome with the gravy in it. I would love more of it. However, the gravy that came with the dish wasn't enough to make the chicken flavorful. It's hard for me to finish the chicken as it's dry and lack of flavor. The veggies were well cooked and delicious though.

It was my first time here, and it was more pleasant than I thought it would be! I went here with my team for a Christmas Party, and we liked the selection of food and drinks on the menu. Decent grub for a pub. Everyone was pretty happy with what they ordered. Good serving size, good taste, and came out fast and fresh. Staff were friendly and accommodating but it is a pub so you order at the counter. The only thing I fault this place for is the lack of ventilation in the back courtyard. If the weather was nicer and had a cool breeze, this place would have been perfect. Spacious and plenty of room to sit. We went here on a particularly humid and hot day, and there seemed to only be one giant fan in the back. We discovered that it did little to nothing to help ease the heat. It did not oscillate, and it just moved the humid air a little more rapidly like you're seated in front of several people running on a treadmill breathing at you with their mouth open.
Other than that, I think we had a great time here! One of my highlights was that my chicken schnitzel looked like the shape of Australia (see pictures for reference). Didn't take too many pictures. Was too hungry.

Great local pub with an expansive beer garden spread out the back. Gets quite busy on sunny days. Great pizzas to have with your beer in the sun. Their apple crumble is also epic. Even better if you like sport, as they got it showing all day. If you're lucky, they may even have a band on.

Great friendly service is also to be expected here.
