We stayed 4 nights here, great location, fantastic staff & the manager was absolutely brilliant. Very helpful & a great ambassador 4 the region. Such yummy food & entertainment, so much fun.

Went to see the OB three playing on a Wednesday night. Great vibe in the small bar, awesome musicians with visiting performers. Jazzy Blues vibe great atmosphere, eclectic crowd, bar staff are on the spectrum.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was a trouble. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Food was good and well priced. Located close to beach and coffee shops.

Staff are amazing especially Skye at the gaming bar! She is always super helpful and you can see she gives all of herself to her job and customers! Shaun in security is amazing also and makes everyone feel very safe! Highly recommend this pub

I've been going sporadically to the Ocean Beach Hotel over the last few months after a long break. I generally go for the meals (King Scnitzel is great), play Keno and watch the footy with a few JD's.
I went last night (Friday) with some friends, played pool (crap sticks but otherwise good), had 2 drinks and played Keno.

At 10pm I went to check my Keno ticket and couldn't because the terminal in the bar and the one behind the bar had been turned off! I inquired why and was told that the girl had reconciled the till because she wanted to "get out early". Poker machines were still operating; TAB still operating; 50-100 people still in the pub playing pool, drinking, having a good time etc on a Friday night but the Keno has to be turned off? I waited with my friends for about an hour, not spending any more money because the OB Hotel obviously doesn't want it, before leaving.

The $100 or so I spend there a week is probably of little consequence to the hotel and I may go there again to watch a band but I'll be the one not spending any money at the hotel, nothing food, drinks, gambling - zuilch - I'll be the one drinking water.

Me and my husband have become regulars because a lovely lady named Barb, Barb has made every visit so welcoming. She does all those extra things that make you feel welcome and noticed. She remembers our names, what we drink and always has a smile a friendly hello. She is like this with all patrons, even new people ive seen her ask their name. We need more Barbs in the world. Because kindness is rare and the effort she puts in is not lost on us. You never know the importance of kindness and she would have definitely made others feel that kind energy we do. We now will always choose the OB because of Barb and her positive kind energy, im sure other the same way and always end up back because of Barb.

Visited the OB last week and have to say the vibe is great. The food and the staff are absolute amazing, and Dayan(Manager) is great. He provides a great experience for the customers and really pushes the boundaries to make a customer feel amazing. Thanks Dayan and the OB will be back ?

Went to the ocean beach hotel and was greeted by the lovely Chloe Mcneil. Great bar maid she was working her guts out to serve everyone. Above almost she was always smiling and joking with every customer, made us feel so at home. Refreshing to see a bar maid so fun ??'?

We had some confusion tonight with what venue we were meant to be at. The staff were so helpful and lovely we ended up convincing our friends to eat at the pub instead. Glad we did because it was the best pub feed I have had in years! If I could rate higher than a 5 I would, well done.
Special mention to Taylah for being as helpful as she was entertaining.

Karan is the best assistant manager ever ! Honestly never felt so much hospitality at a pub on the central coast. 10/10 experience from the staff and assistant manager especially. Also Tara and Kane best supervisors ever !

Wonderful place to pull up after a hard drive . Kuran was amazingly helpful and generous. The staff were all lovely and we even got a cheeseburger and ice cream for my little one . Highly recommended ??'?

I have frequented this restaurant many times over the past 10+ years and I can say with full confidence I will never go back. The menu is limited and extremely expensive (especially considering the quality of the meals offered). In addition half of the menu items are not available when you arrive, despite no warning on the menu. Wood fired pizzas are not offered during the week (again, not advised on menu) and staff are quite abrupt and rude.
Additionally I'd like to note - you won't find many bad reviews as the restaurant privately messages any bad reviewers and offers to pay them to take it down - corruption at its finest. This in itself is enough to turn me off this restaurant (and many firmed and family in the area) and it really shows the companies terrible morals.
There are plenty of restaurants around that are far cheaper and provide a much better meal. I would urge all to save your money, frustrations and time and pick another restaurant ?

Had an amazing dinner here , steak and fish cooked to perfection. The bistro is extremely clean and the staff are exceptional, happy to help and so polite . Definitely worth a visit, and definitely going back .

Didn't know what to expect coming here for the weekend from western Sydney however this pub proved to be amazing. The staff Tara and Kane took great care of my friends and I as we had a delicious dinner. The staff were sociable and nice and helped us whenever we needed a hand. We all had a great dinner and a great night getting along with the locals and playing pool. Would definitely recommend coming here for the night or day, the outdoor seating area is great!

Chloe from the bar are very outstanding person , very friendly with customers extremely warm, friendly personality fantastic sense of humour, very warm, outstanding personality. Nothing seems to be a problem. This is not necessarily coming from myself. It's coming from my friends and I have been coming to the Ocean Beach hotel for many years a very capable member of your staff without standing character definitely an asset to your hotel,.??????????

I'm here at least times a week with my disability group. My clients always ask to come to this venue because the food is great and staff and management go out of their way in making my clients feel comfortable. Thankyou Tara and the rest of OB staff for for your great service.

Awesome service ! Great local pub. Had dinner here and Dayan was very accommodating - food was good and well priced. Barb is an exceptional hostess very welcoming and great service and she made the gaming room a really fun place to be. :)

Steak was nothing like a porterhouse steak, couldn't put my knife through it, very thin and was supposed to be medium, with blood running out of it. Returned and re cooked. Salad was dirty and sauce was extra, Chips were good, but how hard is it to cook chips ? $40.50 plus $8.00 orange juice.

Food very ordinary. Steak was full of fat and gristle. Pasta $28 no flavour hardly touched and no one asked if there was a problem. Wings were basically boiled with some bottle sauce. Very disappointing and they were not busy at all.

Christmas Day Lunch 2022, memorable. Great quality and varied food for a reasonable price, excellent service, lovely ambiance with people of all ages and happy with Covid safe spacing. Will need to book earlier next year after this review.

Absolutely brilliant service on Boxing Day. We had a slight delay in checking into our room so the gentleman sorted us with drink tokens. What a legend.

A cheerful, active and very popular pub. Great beer garden with giant TV. Games room. Pool tables. Kids fun area. Excellent range of areas to choose from for a drink. Very generous means from a pretty decent bistro. A reliable and enjoyable destination. Did not play AFL, boo.

Absolutely loved our lunch, bistro front of house staff are all super friendly, we went for a late Saturday lunch and found the place to be almost empty which was a welcome surprise!
Please keep doing what you're doing it's a great venue! We'll be back ASAP!

He loved the kids cheese burger so much the first one vanished very quickly and we ordered him a second! For a very fussy eating child this was amazing! Nothing better than a beautiful chicken parm after a hard days work. Big ups to Ross for making such an excellent meal for me and my dad. The atmosphere of the venue was warm and cozy. Superb experience; definitely coming again.

This is our local and we love it. The food is amazing great meals and a great serve you get good value for money. The staff Caitlin was fantastic she was very helpful. Recommend this Pub to anyone looking for a great meal.

Had a night at the ocean beach hotel Friday 29/7. Had a meal with the family and spent some time in the gaming room. The atmosphere in the gaming room was great. With the staff member, Barb Purcell, doing raffles, offering snacks and making it a fun, memorable night. Thanx Barb for a great night. We will definitely be back.

I went to this pub with my partner for themed trivia night. The questions were thorough and the host was charismatic. While the venue was a bit dated compared to others in the area, it was very clean and all staff were friendly. I ordered the cheesy garlic for an entire which was great value. I had the beef burger with fires for dinner which was also good value considering the price of vegetables at the moment. The burger had good sauce, the bread was fresh and the seasoning on the fries was some of the best I've had.

Great food! The steak was cooked perfectly.

Popped in at lunchtime as I have done a few times recently for the Rump Steak special and it is always brilliant but today was absolutely exceptional. A thicker cut and was done perfectly medium as I like it. The chips, salad and pepper sauce are always great as well. 5 stars for Ross and his crew. Can thoroughly recommend the OB ?

Always great food at a decent price. Great for a family gathering or catching up with friends. Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there are also some games for the kids.

The bar and counter staff were friendly, but the surly waitress (when we requested a paper menu) isn't one of your most glowing assets. Overall the food was a disappointing. We thought we'd stimulate the local economy being visitors rather than stay at our resort and try a few dishes and our choices were not great. A couple tips to management. There's no need to serve kids meals up in a 'happy meal' box.. If we wanted a happy meal we'd have gone to the golden arches. You're just lowering your standards and fish and chips would be best served on a plate even for a 5 yo.. And when I asked for a plate from the kitchen it was quite dirty..Add the happy meal box (if you feel you need to butter up the kids) thrown in as a sweetener. The nachos .. well that was a dog's breakfast to be honest. It seems we got the bottom of the CCs bag. Photos tell a thousand words. The pulled pork in your nachos was virtually non existent. Promised so much but didn't deliver in my opinion. The state of the floor remained filthy for the full hour and a half without anyone paying attention to cleaning it up..

Our small group visited the Ocean Beach Hotel for lunch. We had a great time. We felt welcome from the time we arrived till we left. All staff made our group feel welcome from the the greeting at the entrance of the hotel (when checking our QR codes) to the bar staff. Everyone was very friendly and smiling and happy to have a chat. Food was very nice and excellent value. The chef came to our table to ask us if we liked the food - great touch. Seems that staff at this hotel like working there which is easy to see. Nothing was a bother for anyone. Recommend the hotel for an easy lunch or after work drinks. Next time we are in the area we will plan to have lunch here again. Keep up the good work :)

We went to the Ocean Beach Hotel for dinner on a Wednesday night and were greeted at the bar by Kiara, she was prompt and friendly in her service, very informative regarding the specials for dinner as well as helping us out with masks as this was during Covid restrictions. All in all, her service and the atmosphere of the Ocean Beach Hotel made for a great evening!

Very comfortable beds, clean and spacious room and bathroom. Blackout blinds if you want to sleep in. Perfect location. Can hear some noise from the pub below at night but we liked being able to just go down to the pub!

Lovely hotel, clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Close to shops and eating facilities. Would stay again if on the coast.

We stayed at this place for a night, very well located to the beach. Brook made us a yummy hot breakfast in the morning.

This was the first time we stayed the night in a pub. We stayed in the Family suite. Room was super clean! Beds comfortable and each room had A/C. Very quiet as well and food in bistro was amazing! Location also perfect.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2020! Absolutely phenomenal. The service from the outset was outstanding. Holly personally assisted with a number of queries and addressed our specific needs with great attention to detail. The meals were beautifully presented, tasty and with plenty to spare! The atmosphere was fun and festive, lots of laughs and happy people which made the experience all the more enjoyable. On arrival and throughout the duration of our lunch - the staff were attentive and very helpful. Holly made a point of greeting us on arrival which further demonstrated the high standards of the venue! See you next year

From a pub that was not so flash, the new liscensee, Holly, has really turnt this pub around. The staff are awesome, friendly, attentive and do a great job.The beer is excellent, the food good and the atmosphere laid back and most enjoyable.The other thing I like about this new look OB is the open floor plan that is roomy, not cluttered and gives everyone space.There is even a cocktail bar now Great job OB, you are an awesome hotel to enjoy.Highly recommended.

We went for the food and what a feed we had! The steak was cooked exactly as I ordered & there was plenty of seafood in the seafood basket, slightly overcooked the crumbing on the prawn cocktails but still edible.There was plenty of salad & chips with the prices not too bad either.The lovely lady who took my order was so friendly and even with our problem scanning a birthday voucher she was still so calm with a smile on her face! She not only took the food orders she also serviced the bar area, cleaned tables she done all of it in a very friendly, Happy manner. I look forward to going back again!

I love this hotel for the friendliness and all the staff who go the extra mile especially the fuzzy leprechaun Chloe and her partner in crime Alana. If you don't enjoy being in this pub you probably should stay home. Amazing even during these tough times
