Great food, service & atmosphere! They were even nice enough to print out some colouring sheets for our kids. Will definitely go back. �'�

I had a great meal with a couple of beer sitting by the fire. Earlier, I wanted to watch the Sydney Swans game, and the staff happily put on a TV on for me. The owner and staff were all very friendly.
There was good live music which was not too loud.
I camped out the back of the pub for free with access to clean toilets and showers.

Great lunch for us quality of the food only beaten by the great staff.
We will definitely visit again soon.

This place since it re opened has a friendly atmosphere, great food and regular excellent entertainment. You need to take a trip to a great country village pub.

Reopened after new owners took over. Lots of outdoor covered seating. Plenty of staff and fairly quick service for meals. Limited menu but quality meals. Plenty of parking as well.

Lovely hotel. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. Once we ordered lunch for a large group the service was fast and furious and was impressed that basically everyone's lunch turned up within a few minutes so we got to eat together. The salads, burgers, fish and chips all went down a treat and the only and this is a personal opinion that didn't was the pizza was not much fun. It was more a 'melt' with too much sauce and cheese and difficult to eat made worse by only having a single sheet of paper serviette to clean up with. For the record that was the only thing I faulted and why I couldn't give five stars....I give you 4.75 stars. Go visit you won't be sorry ?

The last time that I was in O'Connell pub was 1977.
I was passing through the district and I decided to go on a trip down memory lane.
Back then I stopped by for lunch and was served the biggest T bone steak that I had ever seen. Needless to say that my 45 year younger self did it justice. I was looking forward to having just one beer in the garden this time.
Oh well, my memories of 45 years ago remain untarnished. Looking back so long I think that my memories might be a little rose tinted.
Can you imagine my disappointment to find that it was closed the day I was passing through.
I doubt that I will return in another 45 years.

The customer service was very poor felt like everything we asked for including gravy & salt for our meal was a huge ask
even asking for a drink the lady made us feel like she was annoyed by it

Food was nice, but it took about 10 minutes to order since there was only one person taking orders for food and drink when they had at two large parties booked, then another 30-40 minutes for the food to actually arrive. Kids meal was the last to arrive as well so child had gone past hunger by the time it got there.

I absolutely loved this pub, my dad and I don't go here very often but when we do it's an absolute pleasure. Every time we get takeaway from here we get a lovely note written on the top of the box, 10/10 lovely staff and an around amazing time. ??'?

Great country pub with good pub grub and cold beer. Outside eating/beer garden is the best spot on a sunny day with the family, just make sure to bring a jacket in winter ??'?

Spent a weekend away in O'Connell visiting Jenolan caves. This pub was Lovley, friendly publican and great food!

Staff were very friendly, food was mediocre at best. Ordered hearty beef stew and was presented with a bowl of gravy, on complaining I was sent a proper serve. But the meat was fatty and gristley, gravy had little flavour, would I recommend this place again? I don't think so, which was a shame as we have eaten here before and found it to be good

Came for Sunday lunch to this great country pub. Staff were super friendly, establishment was neat and tidy with a great outside courtyard and field behind for kids to play in. Meals were fantastic! Good honest pub grub done well. Decent servings and good money in my opinion.
