Oh Loretta

We came in early without a reservation and we're lucky to get it. It's got a French bistro meets Melbourne vibe. The food was delicious. My friend and I shared some Brussels sprouts, the potatoes and some olives - but Ill be coming back for that beef shank!

I stumbled upon this gem thanks to a friend's recommendation and it exceeded all expectations. The food was outstanding, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the owner Mario. His warm welcome and friendly banter made us feel right at home. We left with full hearts and stomachs, already planning our next visit! Thank you again, Mario.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary there. Mario (the owner) and the waiter were absolute delights - incredible and personable people who made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, the cocktails on point and the music/atmosphere just perfect. If you are looking for a relaxing, warm and friendly place on High St to enjoy an evening with a loved one - we would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Mario! We will be back =)

My partner and I had the most amazing meal here the other week. Not only was the food sublime (most crispy potatoes EVER) but the service was top notch. I can't thank the owner and wait staff enough for such a fab night! Thanks again x

Not sure how this place made it to the Age Good Food Guide. The service definitely needs improving and quick. There was no explanation of the menu, they had enough waiting staff yet no one bothered to top of our waters like other restaurants do. We asked for more water never got anymore water so we keep stealing from the tray next to the kitchen.

One of the waiters offered the table free drinks, we never got the free drinks whilst we waited over thirty minutes in between the pumpkin dish and the potato dish which should have been served together with the slow cooked pork ribs.

If you are going to be classified as top food restaurant then you need to be one. I gave it two stars because mario's excellent customer service prior to the day booking plus the ribs.
