The Orbost Club Hotel surprised me! It's a fantastic pub with a friendly atmosphere with good Wi-Fi in the common areas.

The real star of the show here is the food. I tried both the country fried chicken and the schnitzel, and let me tell you, they were amazing! The portions were generous and full of flavor, and the menu had a good variety to choose from at reasonable prices. The reviews from other guests echoed my experience, with many praising the delicious and comforting pub fare.

Overall, the Orbost Club Hotel is a great value for the price. the friendly staff, clean facilities, and incredible food make it a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Orbost, especially if you're a fan of hearty pub meals.

After deciding to have dinner here, after staying in the area at Easter, found the place to be reasonably good. It was rather busy the night I went as being a long weekend. Good atmosphere. Not a massive sized dining room, but there was also an eating area out the back in the beer garden. Prices weren't too bad, except for a surcharge was charged, for despite the day not being a public holiday was in part of the long weekend, but there had been a couple of signs around mentioning the surcharge. The service was good, and the staff were reasonably friendly. Good location in town.

Great little pub. Awesome owners doing everything they can to make it the best place in the area. Great food and drinks available and very active social groups. Well worth the ride/drive to do the snowy mountains. Motorbike safety is excellent.

Amazing food always! Great atmosphere. Good sized dining area in the bistro with options outside too. Great beer garden with ample seating. Very friendly staff, always good for a chat and laugh. Love eating here

Great food and great service. The kitchen got one of the dishes wrong, but we're happy to fix and appropriately apologetic. Lots of options and everyone was happy with their meals. Meals were large for the price and we had to take food home for the dogs. Lots of local characters at the bar. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our large group.
So good!
I ordered the smokey pork ribs and wow! Amazing
Meat fell straight off the bones so soft and delicious smokey BBQ flavour.

Nice local pub had a wood fire crackling when I arrived which was nice.

The waiting staff is not very attentive and the place is abit dimly lit so that is why I have 4 stars not 5 but the food is 5 stars for sure and very fair price for the quality

The pub owner let you stay behind the pub with caravan or RV ( self contained of course) Entrance best ( with caravan) through Clarke str. across the information centre hut into dirt lane way. A small area, check before drive in. The other entrance is via Mc Leod str. left after pub into car entrance.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had large portions for dinner. Very yummy and good priced.
A great experience for us.
We hope many grey nomads come in to support this pub.
Felt welcome the minute we walked in. Lady behind the bar was great. Dinner was ok. Only pub still running in town and walking distance to the caravan park.

Well, I give it 4 stars because this is the small town kinda place I'd expect to stay in when driving around Australia. Accommodations are pretty bare, fine for me, maybe 'run down' for others, but it works. There's a vibrant pub downstairs with local patrons and tourists alike. Food is served but kitchen closes around 8 it seems so plan ahead if on a road trip

Staff were friendly, place is historic. Would return if in the area and needing a place to lay my head

Great small town pub. Service and food were excellent. Very friendly staff. Will come back on our travels up the South Coast. Good on you guys you made us feel welcome.

Rolled up, order dinner and was directed to the beer garden where kitchen staff were having smokes next to seated patrons. Food was average, only Pub in town.

Pleasantly surprised with the steak dinner I had. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. Hubby had no complaints either with the Bangers and mash. Drinks on offer from the fridge is good albeit only one type of beer available on tap.
The photos on the website do not reflect the accrual assistance of this hotel. Rooms are basic, beds and pillows uncomfortable. Off street parking is poor. Access to rooms via parking is inadequate. No food was offered on the night we stayed, shared bathroom, small bar area, not pleasant, won't be back.
Stayed there for a night and a dinner - I guess you get what you pay for. The room was very basic - no heating, and Orbost is *very* cold. The whole place is more than a bit rough around the edges but has loads of character (and a nice balcony). Food was o.k. and staff were very friendly.

Our stay was terrible, it all appeared very nice online, the bar lady checked us in, nice and friendly but the room was freezing cold, and smelt extremely musty, we had to open the window to let in fresh air for the mustiness. The common room/lounge had open packets of food on a table in the corner and although there was a kettle we did not touch anything as it did not look clean. Thank goodness we had our own thermos, and coffee for a drink. No food was available we had to go up the street for takeaways. The room still smelt musty and cold, there was no heating. Were woken at 3am by a woman on the phone ranting on about her personal life. On hindsight we should have asked for a refund and moved on. I would not recommend it ever.

4 stars was for the apple crumble beautiful.
Had steak on mash and a few bits of caulie and ?
Took 2 bites out of the steak and that was enough for me ,tough chewy and bleeding and honestly I don't think it was porterhouse bloody horrible.

Tim Behan, Publican made us so welcome as did the patrons. We actually stayed 2 nights in our self contained caravan at the back of the hotel. We had a meal and drinks at the bar. The chicken snitzel was delicious. We enjoyed our stay immensely and met not only Tim but Kym, Dave and the Fiery (apologies I cannot recall his name) and spoke to many others in this delightful, friendly and welcoming town of Orbost, Vic who are doing it tough. There is Jill, Mavis, Rose, Mikael and Bronwyn to name a few. A very special thank you to Tim. Such interesting conversation Tim and your kindness was contagious. All the very best and we hope more people make the trip to Orbost and stay at the Orbost Hotel. We were so surprised at the warmth and acceptance there. Kindest regards Chris and Georgie

A last minute bungle meant we had to find a dog friendly hotel in the area and the Orbost Club Hotel came to the rescue. Clean, comfy, reasonably priced and a friendly atmosphere thanks to Tim the publican.

Hotel was a bit old fashioned but meals were very nice. Plenty of people in the bar, not many in the bistro but it was Monday when we were there.

Nice pub, good food and cheap eats.

It's a quite old and has some history to it. But could be well maintained in a better scale. Lot of renovations needs to be done.
