The Oriental Hotel Springwood, Springwood NSW

Surprise family trip to Springwood. Great lunch. I had the Mediterranean smoked chicken salad. (& A Mid strength)
The crispy skinned Barramundi looked good too. Got cleaned up

Surprisingly upmarket food for a pub. Is not cheap but the meals are fantastic. The service was also very good. The atmosphere is also quite ok, a bit of an upmarket pub atmosphere. Outside in the beer garden is very nice and would be very popular in spring I guess. As new locals we will be back.

Not a very family friendly pub, unfortunately. Called ahead to book in a group of 10 Adults + kids for Sunday lunch and was promptly talked out of booking there although there's still availability. "We're heavily booked already" was a simple reason, but it's clear that they would prefer not to have kids in the restaurant. Thumbs down for The Ori, which seems to ignore a huge growing demographic of young families in the area.

So the place is heritage listed, go early before 8pm because the food 🥘 is AMAZING.. As an English person I was greatly surprised at the traditional sweet treat of sones.

So the place is heritage listed, you walk in and it's still the place to be of a night. Come in early before 8pm because the food 🥘 is AMAZING.. As an English person I was greatly surprised at the traditional scones as a sweet treat. Musical bingo 🎼got the place vibing as people got together on tables to give it a go and have a banter. New friends were made.
Drink 🍻 specials are good and they had plenty of give aways too. The beer Garden is on the front corner and is really nice and naturaly shaded but the big trees overhead.🌳🌳
