Stayed there for 5 days a week ago.very clean room, heard a band Sunday night. Had dinner in resturant was excellent but couldn't eat it all, so much. Beef minguon.was beautiful. Must go to Kareoke, great night. Only problem was car parking. Need to park about 5 pm and not move your car.

Uhhghhh awful, never going back! First time I went I waited almost an hour for a chicken schnitzel which was so soggy, sad and undercooked. The portion size was miniscule with a tiny side of chips and a teeny dollop of sauce. Thought they were just having an off night and went back another night to have another try.
I had the fish and chips and again a long wait and very disappointed with the quality, portions and price point. The plate had about a teaspoon of tartare sauce on it which was frankly hilarious.
The service was bad too - inattentive, grumpy staff.
It's a nice venue with lovely history and good atmosphere, but come for the beer and kareoke - avoid the restaurant!

Stayed for a night for the Mad Max marathon. Lovely clean rooms with new refurbished bathroom. Decent size TV in the bedroom. Ate dinner downstairs in the restaurant, absolutely fantastic customer service, I had the Curry Beef Rogan Josh for dinner, and crab and corn chowder for my entree, both meals 10/10. We weren't impressed with being stung paying $16 each for 2 beers with our dinner which we didn't know until after we had paid and seen the receipt.

Stopped here for a beer and was initially blown away because of the unexpected artwork (murals). On closer inspection it was cold and soulless. All the old furniture was worn out and beyond having "character".
Definitely worth a look however just because it is so quirky.

Visited this pub twice during our stay in Broken Hill. Lovely pub. We love Aussie pubs and have visited many over the years.
BUT, on the second night the barman, with the English accent, was rude, hardly made eye contact, he treated me like a naughty child, I felt belittled by him.
This was a very disappointing end to our stay in Broken Hill, where up to then everyone we met was absolutely amazing
