Stayed here in July for staycation and to celebrate my birthday with my family. The staff were super nice and friendly. I arrived early before check-in time to leave my luggage, and it turns out the room was ready! I told them it was my birthday and they brought me some cake to the room. The room was so spacious and comfy, and it was clean. We enjoyed the room service as well. Good location as well. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay here recently. The location was fantastic, quick walk to Darling Harbour, restaurants and Town Hall station. The room was reasonably sized, modern and clean. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of freshly prepared food. We also found the staff friendly, efficient and helpful.

Room is nice and clean with comfy bed. Hot water runs well, TV works well, there is also a water dispenser near the lift to fill up your bottle before you go. Pretty quiet too.

Service was good, staff were helpful.

Perfectly located hotel, close to Darling Quarter/ Square/ Harbour and China Town.

For this review I wish to focus on what makes one hotel better than another regardless of its facilities.
While the facilities at Park Royal Hotel are very good, it's the staff that makes the difference to me.
I wish to thank one specific staff that exemplifies our experience with the staff, overall. His name is Steve. He has consistently been effortlessly kind, courteous, and professional our entire stay.
We ask for information, he gives it, or gets it. If we needed something, he locates it and brings it to our room; always with a friendly smile. Without question, he is one of the best at what he does.
My wife and I have been to 22 countries over 9 years. Steve and Park Royal Hotel will rank as one of the best hotel experiences we've had in our travels.

I wanted to surprise my partner with some decorations inside our room so that when we arrived she would find them. She did and she loved it!
Communication from my first phone call and all e-mail correspondence was easy, professional and nothing was out of reach or did I feel it was too much. I am very thankful and appreciative to the Director of Operations, the Concierge team and all staff who ensured our special occasion was valuable and time staying at the Hotel was as memorable as it could be. The room was decorated better than I could have ever hoped. I would recommend this hotel and staff to anyone and next time staying in darling Harbour I wouldn't stay with anyone else.

We could not fault this establishment. Every part of our stay was meet with outstanding service. The amenities were exceptional. All staff assisted in recommendations as to places to visit and see while in Sydney which made our trip that extra memorable.

Our recent stay, as visitors from Canada, was nothing short of amazing. Situated close to all the sightseeing spots, we found the location incredibly convenient. The staff's helpfulness exceeded our expectations, and the breakfast provided was both delicious and varied. Daily room service ensured our accommodations remained pristine.

Despite a minor issue with the shower tap, the staff promptly upgraded our room, demonstrating their commitment to VIP treatment for all guests. For fellow Canadians planning a visit, we highly recommend this establishment for a memorable stay.

Great hotel located at Darling Harbour where there are many eateries and bars.
The rooms are large and well equipped and the breakfast is very good and the adjoining restaurant and bar are relaxed and served well.
Excellent service from the staff and no issues whatsoever.
An easy 5 minute walk into the middle of the city where you use the Light Rail system to get around the city or you can use the boat ferries on the harbour to go further afield, hopefully down the river.
Recommended.

This is how a hotel should be managed. Everything from the moment we stepped into the foyer to the end of our stay was perfect. Check in was easy with very friendly and helpful staff. Our cases were taken to our room and were waiting for us before we'd even finished.
Our room was bright, airy and clean. The bed was comfortable and WiFi was excellent.
Breakfast was excellent and varied. The food was fresh and of superb quality. You couldn't have asked for more. Staff in the breakfast room were professional, polite and helpful.
The hotel is near the train station which gives you the opportunity to explore easily. Darling Harbour offers excellent eateries just across a road.
We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my two young children. Very luxurious and beautiful with spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff. The selection of coffee and tea in the rooms was extensive, I also loved the spectacular views.

The food was amazing, except for the crispy wings that had an odd chemical taste to them, which was a big disappointment for my son. The jetted tub was fantastic but the water pressure was very slow and it took a long time to fill up. I thought we booked a room with two queen beds, but one of the beds was a pull out sofa. It felt like it had no mattress, you could feel all the springs and supports on it. Staff were more than happy to bring up extra pillows to help us get comfortable, but I think a foam mattress topper would easily solve this issue.

I cannot rave enough about the exceptionally helpful staff. Everyone was friendly and so quick to address any of my concerns. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel.

Had a beautiful three night stay at Park Royal. It truly felt like a 5-star restaurant. The atmosphere and aesthetic is lovely, rooms are clean and very large given the location. Staff are extremely helpful and kind. Buffet breakfast was delicious with barista coffee and an omelette chef. The 24hr room service was a lovely addition. The view from the room wasn't too bad - mostly the W building but got a glimpse of darling harbour. Blockout blinds were fabulous. I very much enjoyed the fluffy bathrobe in our room! Great customer service as well as velvety parking. Rooms clean and tidy . Great walking distance to Darling harbor, circle quay ect. Buffet breakfast awesome and has a wide range of food with a chef on hand

It is a good location for traveling. The room condition is also very good. This is a decent hotel for a reasonable price. During my stay, I met the housekeeper in person. She is very kind and I see her doing her best. If I come to Sydney again, I will choose this hotel again.

Harry was very welcoming and our room was ready early. Great position and handy to many sites, sights and activities. Reasonably short walk to most attractions and restaurants. Their restaurant, Bakers, was great for breakfast and Reza was a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and the eatery. We had a room with partial views over part of Darling Harbour when they had fireworks to celebrate the Matildas win over France. We had a great value package and it was an easy walk to Hyde Park for the City2Surf. Well worth a visit.

The hotel itself is located in a handy location. However the room we were offered was old and dull. The concierge and front desk are very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping team too did a decent job with tiding up the room for our 5 nights stay, but would have appreciated the sheets being changed after my little one spilled a little hot chocolate.
The biggest disappointment was their BAKERS restaurant- breakfast only starts at 7am, which is pretty late if you want to get out and about and lasts only until 930am on weekdays and 10am on weekend. The buffet options did not change at all and the layout is very disorganized. And the biggest disappointment was the staff that work in the restaurant, almost everyone is very passive aggressive and almost unkind.

Room we stayed are pretty old. We stay for 14 nights. Sadly to only find out that the housekeeping unit only come to change our towels and made the bed neat. No vacuum, no proper cleaning of the toilet washing table and no showercap provided daily. We have to keep requesting every 3-4 days . Worst part is the towels are often stained. The room has a funny damp smell. Overall, the hotel

Great location for the hotel. So close to town hall station, Chinatown and also darling park. Plenty of food options nearby. Rooms are clean and bright. Buffet breakfast was great with my all time favourite an omelette station.

This is our first stay at this hotel. It is very convenient to city and Darling Harbour. The room was specious and very comfortable. Breakfast had everything. But the stand out was the service and the staff who gave the appearance of being very happy to work there. Great stay.

Great location at a reasonable price. The hotel is clean and well maintained but showing age around the edges. The bathroom didn't have hot water early in the morning, the TV is outdated, tea/coffee amenities could do with a refresh etc.

We stayed at here for 2 nights and everything about our stay was fantastic. The room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. They allowed us to store our baggage for some time after checkout as our flight wasn't until the afternoon.
The location is just a short walk to the Darling Harbour, the city center and to Town Hall where we could easily take the underground to Circular Quay and the Opera House. Thank you so much for making our stay in Sydney so great!

Great location but that was probably about it. Rooms are very old and I needed a bit of an upgrade. Shower was tiny and leaked everywhere unfortunately. My room wasn't very clean either. It seemed they only did a high level clean from the previous guest. I found bits of rubbish on the floor and the bathroom edges were pretty gross. I don't know if this is a common thing but my doona didn't have a cover on it either. It was just wedged between two sheets. Bring your own pillows if you Can as the ones supplied are very soft and your head ends up sleeping on the mattress.

Service was good and a lobby was nice. Location was amazing and close to everything. Buffet breakfast was pretty standard... If you're not fussed about price I would go out for breakfast.

I was totally disappointed when I stayed here for 7 days.

Firstly, hotel is very very very old.

Secondly, offered service was not professional. They did not clean room everyday(or partially cleaned), and they seldom come to us even though we requested some room services.

Lastly,supply of amenities were also limited. They think this amenities are too valuable to them, they do not want to provide guests these.

In overall, Park royal was really good hotel for me before I visited. However, now, I don't want to book anymore in this hotel in the future.

Harbour & were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and a card from the staff to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly, accommodating & were great with our kids. Valet parking was a bonus with friendly & helpful staff. We were told we could delay our check out time so we could explore the harbour as well. Overall a really great experience!

The only real downside to the hotel is the road flyover right out the front. Although this goes quiet at night, it can be quite noisy during the day for those rooms facing the front, and the traffic starts fairly early.
Other than that, the hotel is excellent; spotlessly clean throughout, very friendly and helpful staff and our superior twin room was spacious and comfortable.
There is a wide variety to choose from at breakfast, and even a chef on hand cooking fresh eggs and omelettes to order.
The hotel is centrally located with easy access to both the central shopping areas and Darling Harbour, which can be viewed from rooms in the higher floors.
Overall a great place to stay.

What a great little hotel to stay for a night. The rooms were great. The staff were awesome. We stayed in a club room which gave us access to the club room which we some food beer wine all for free. What a great little fun stay. Also the restaurant had some nice food and some drinks if you don't want to step out of the hotel.

My twin room faced to the back so not much of a view.
Main concern was interconnecting doors between my room and my neighbour was not locked and we could go thru yo another room.
Booked the place as I needed a desk to complete some work but light above desk did not work so resort to a study lamp for work that night

Bar fridge only contain small milk containers
Good variety of tea an coffee
My bedding had some stains making me wonder if it was clean but I had a good nights sleep

Will definitely stay here again! Was a perfect getaway for the evening. We paid for a basic room which is what we wanted. Even though it was a basic room, we had a wonderful view out to the Harbour & were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and a card from the staff to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly, accommodating & were great with our kids. Valet parking was a bonus with friendly & helpful staff. Very nice hotel, excellent location close to darling harbour where you have many things to see and do. Room was a decent size, beds were comfy. The room we stayed in looked as though it is a little overdue for a makeover. The buffet breakfast was very good. All in all it was nice stay.

Room was dark, dank and dirty. The entire hotel seemed like it could use a good cleaning. The beds were incredibly lumpy. The room we were given is nothing like the bright beautiful pictures shown online. Our walls were either gray or black. Only a couple of the lights worked. The chair actually pinched my hand because it was broken and not fixed. The entire place feels like it could use some care. We left within hours of arrival.

Sadly the views have more or less been built out with new hotels built right at darling harbour but the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the price for the suites are on point for location and accessibility compared to some of the more over priced hotels. The club lounge is great. The staff are attentive and really made my weekend stay enjoyable. Will be back... soon I hope

We stayed for out 38th wedding anniversary.
We were able to check in a little early, Chad was very helpful and when we reached our room we had a bottle of wine and some chocolate coated strawberries waiting for us with a lovely card to wish us a happy anniversary.
Room was spacious as well as the bathroom, bed very comfortable and was ever so quiet.
We had breakfast in the restaurant and was lovely, you could even get a fresh omelette made if you wished.
Only a 5 min walk to Town Hall Station and 10 min walk to Darling Harbour.
We had a wonderful stay.

Great experience. Been here for quarantine. Spacious and new room. Staffs did all their best to make my wish come true: I want to eat hot Chinese food and there it is, right in front of my door :)

Currently in quarantine at this hotel. More than halfway in and came across some other reviews of this place. Just to clarify, this is a quarantine hotel and I don't think the hotel should be held accountable for lack of quarantine facilities... its a government run programme and I think the hotel is doing its best with what it has available. The food is good however i suspect that all sydney quarantine food is outsourced to the same external provider.... my friend is currently in another hotel nearby and getting exactly the same food, so don't blame hotel if its not up to your expectation. The room is massive and clean, tv is 55 inch and easy to connect to all mobile devices, fridge is reasonable, towel service is frequent and they have extremely comfy beds with duck feather duvets... staff are nice and answer phone with positivity... I recommend to anyone post covid mess.

We stayed as Quarantine guests. The room and beds were comfortable. The small encounter we had with staff was always positive - the were helpful and friendly. Covid safe. The food really wasn't bad at all - good variety and quantity. Fresh ingredients. All things considered whilst Quarantine isn't ideal PR helped to make it a positive one. We will come back one day as tourists for sure!

The service at the hotel was exceptional and they cater to your needs quiet promptly. The rooms are big and spacious. Not much of a view that you got to the one side of the hotel. So you might want to check on that before booking, in case you are expecting to get a room with a view. Staff are well mannered and polite.

It's currently a quarantine hotel, clean and covid19 compliant.

Rude staff and very slow to bring up deliveries. The reviews and photos do not match up to the real life experiences in the Hotel. You are better off finding a hotel which has nicer staff.
