Not flashy but best pub I've been to. Great food friendly staff. Would be my go to

Great little pub, good meal's, friendly staff & patrons.

The motel is located right in front of Echuca railway station. The Welcome was great. The rooms were very clean, specially that bathroom and the toilet. Beds and pillows were comfy.

Laid back old style pub, great atmosphere, food was fabulous pasta to die for, super clean, drinks prices what they should be.... Locals so will definitely be back!!

Been here many times for dinner just a month ago with friend and have had home delivery of dinners and have found the staff very friendly and always helpful... The menu is varied and fantastic...the chef is a credit to the pub....The dining area is simple but practical for patrons and staff to manuevour around..their is a small kids area which is helpful for parents so they may get a bite or 3 of their meals. The Owners are a lovely friendly couple who have maintained the standard of the pub since takeover they have put their own touches which has complimented the pub...thoroughly recommend coming for lunch, dinner or even just a drink...Tania

The Carlton draught was refreshing! But the sweetsoy stir-fry with beef was to die for, bloody bonzer mate! Staff friendly and nice, the old place has seen better days but still has bucket loads of character!

Went there for a birthday party. Great country style hotel in Echuca. My meal was fantastic ?

Had dinner at the pub tonight. Had the white wine cream garlic prawns salad and chips. Was amazing very tasty. Great service , friendly staff.

We have been here a number of times to eat and the Pastoral Hotel never disappoints. The relaxed atmosphere and low key decor show the true nature of this establishment.
The Pastoral Hotel puts the heart back into the genuine Aussie pub.
Within a short space of time of you arrival, the owner will appear to personally introduce himself and shake your hand, (or a hug for the ladies who would prefer). He is interested and will remember your names even months after just one visit.
The food is FANTASTIC!
Everything on the menu tastes great. Always cooked to perfection.
The kitchen is open to view and is scrupulously clean. The food has fresh, clean, flavors from an immaculately clean grill.
Everything is cooked to perfection (or as near to it as I have ever seen - bar none). This is true for every meal on the menu, every time.
The prices are real.
Another hotel in Echuca (which I refuse to even speak the name of, after such a terrible experience) charged me $56 for a steak. Pastoral Hotel price, $35. Same cut of meat.
Comparison, none. The difference was polar opposites.
The Pastoral steak was perfection on a plate and melted in your mouth. I simply can't tell you how bad the other one was.
We have tried various nights and meals at the Pastoral Hotel, always with the same outstanding friendly service and great quality of food.
I just have one thing to say to the Pastoral Hotel.
Keep doing what you are doing and don't change. This is how an Aussie pub used to be before everything became so commercialized.
You leave with a very happy tummy and a warm heart, feeling like a friend.
Oh, and don't ever let your kitchen staff go. I don't care if you have to give her pedicures or back massages. For our sakes, please do it ???'???'?. You won't find another like her.
I can not recommend the owner, staff and chef highly enough. Top marks to all of you. It is obvious that this is your mission and passion, to make people happy.

Always Great meals in a friendly Country Pub

Had lunch here with family today. Old school pub, authentic, Aussie pub. There is a kids room in the dining area . Definitely underestimated what it was going to be like before we went inside. , our meals were awesome and well priced. would go back for another feed next time we're in town. ??'??
