Penong Hotel - Pub in Penong South Australia

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Penong Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was great for what we needed as we were passing through after crossing the Nullarbor. The meals are limited but good serving sizes and tasty, the dining room has a whole vintage vibe about it and was comfortable to relax in and enjoy our meals. The bathrooms are the originals and perfectly suitable to have a hot shower after a days travelling. We would absolutely stay here again if we were to be passing through again.

I really enjoyed my chicken parmigiana as it came out steaming hot and absolutely delicious. And my friends also really enjoyed their meals and the service was great.
The locals were friendly and congratulations to the chef.

I didn't stay in the rooms. But the food was the worst we had had on the trip from Perth. The bar guy was very friendly and accommodating on arrival. We ordered the food. 2 x rare steaks, a crumbed chicken dish, garlic prawns and a fish n chips. Everyone's veges were cold, as in COLD. The rare steaks were well done. The chicken was dry and overcooked. I'm very rarely one to send food back, I just cop it on the chin when it's below average, but it was so poorly cooked. I got my rare steak back but the quality of the meat was so bad it was like chewing on a boot.

Had a beautiful meal at the Hotel. Steak cooked to perfection and the Juelienne chicken was delicious. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the food and service. Thanks.

Had dinner here when we stopped overnight in Penong on our drive from adelaide to Perth. Sat in the beer garden with our dog while we had a few drinks and waited for our pizza. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and patrons. The pizza was great but be aware it may be a long wait - we waited about 90 minutes for ours (ordered at 6.30pm). It was worth the wait though, great pizza.
