Plough & Harrow Hotel - Pub in Camden New South Wales

Always come for the food! I drool every time I read the Specials board at the bar.

Their menu changes every six months or so, make sure to come and check them out occasionally if you're into good pub fair that's value for money.

Yummy as always. Food came out very quickly, which I like, before their dinner rush.

Lunch time meal specials are cheap $14.50 and a free soft drink. Service could be better; one person to take orders and serve drinks. Meals were ready to collect quickly. atmosphere is very good .

I have always enjoyed the food there. Just the $5 surcharge threw me off by swapping the chips and salad to veggies and mash.. seems a bit excessive..

I am ok with the surcharge but I was just merely expressing my surprise on the amount you charge. No need to get aggressive.

Prawns hot pot was tasty with little spicy made the cold day nicer.

We got served by a rude tan lady in the bar. Not a single smile, gave us dirty looks when we asked for specific preferences for our meals, she assumed we (2) were only ordering two meals even though we had a 3rd person, and she got the eftpos machine ready. Hello? We may want to order more?

My chips were over cooked. Very crispy and crunchy to the point where it is basically only batter. Same with the schnitzel. The whole thing was bent like a V (literally bent, I wish I got a photo), and half of it was so overcooked, you couldn't even cut it with a knife. Plus, it was only 15% chicken. Rest was batter, which was extremely overcooked. Like the chips.

The place itself was old, dirty, and very unorganized. I walked in there confused as to where to go, where to sit, etc. it's like there are multiple restaurants in the place, but there is actually only 1.

Bad experience. Don't recommend. Go nextdoor to Royal.

Edit: responding to the response. This is NOT a false review. We were there at 5pm for dinner, and got served by that rude woman. We are a family of the community, we have nothing to do with other hotels. I am just recommending a proper good hotel to go to so everyone doesn't waste their money. Your response also further proves why no one should go to Plough. Owner is rude and claims all bad reviews as false. I am a community member like everyone else here. I don't own a hotel or even work at one. If you take this any further, I have proof of where we were sitting that night and the time and the three of us. Cry about it.
