Pottsville Tavern

Staff are friendly and very efficient in their jobs. Drinks were cold and enjoyed. Menu is more imaginative than most other taverns and hotels on the Tweed Coast. My party all enjoyed their meals, fresh ingredients in dishes also. I had Mediterranean lamb and would order it again. Partner had Louisiana chicken and rated it high. Other dishes on table were mixed seafood grill and steak. Give it a try for yourself.

Great food, very fresh, hubby had the rump steak special at $18, cooked medium rare, hubby loved it. I had the chicken tacos which were light and yummy. Best of all ... Doggo friendly, this place is a must stop for travellers, thank you very much for the great service Pottsville Tav 🐶❤️🍷

We all had the Thursday $16 250g rump steak special. The steak was good and cooked perfect Medium Rare. The chips were really good. Salad could've been bigger and was obviously prepared early and refrigerated. The pepper sauce was hit and miss. It was peppery, which I like. But it was a gravy not a sauce. I could take it or leave it tbh. So food was OK. Staff are friendly and service was good. Everything was clean. So no real complaints. Of course the beer was great.

Came down from Brisbane for a day on the beach and came here for lunch after searching for a bit. Was not disappointed at all. The ribs I had were superb, they had a lovely BBQ sauce and were very hot. I loved the frozen mango daiquiri I had, I have been wanting to try frozen drinks for awhile and i'm so glad I was lucky enough to find one here. The service was pretty average, and the place was packed with a lot of families having meals out but the food came in a timely manner and the bar staff were very nice! The atmosphere was on-par with pretty much any pub atmosphere.

Had a nice meal here with family on a Saturday night and the food was delicious. Reasonable drink prices and the meals came out super fast, what more could you want 😋 my parents had the seniors meals which were great value and Dad loved his lambs fry and bacon, but had the BBQ ribs and they were so tender. Definitely worth a stop for a meal.
