The hotel is situated in the prime location of Sydney with great view. The apartment room is all we could ask for in a five-star hotel. Room was spotless, comfortable bedding, high quality equipments, including a decent sized jacuzzi. Professional reception team, helpful hotel porter, and attentive housekeeping staff. Beatrice and the kind chef added the cherry on top with their patience when we turned up at the restaurant at after 8:30pm (closing time is 9:30) and offered to alter the dish to our preference. We stayed for almost a week and really felt so comfortable like home.

We have stayed at numerous hotels across the world and were a bit disappointed with the limited menu choices and opening hours at the restaurant and bar though, considering the location and the star classification of the hotel. The restaurant and bar had very nice view, but was quite small and hard to access. You'd have to press the intercom to reception to get the door open from the quay side, which we witnessed many people were puzzled with.

At the end of our stay, we missed the night interstate train and had to wait for the early morning train. The room we stayed over the last five days was booked out so instead of the hassle of checking in a different hotel for several hours, we sat quietly and neatly on the sofa hoping to stay safe from the station full of drug addicts and drunks. We were confronted by security speaking to us in a tone which made us felt like unwanted homeless camping in the lobby. Fair enough that the hotel might have a policy that checked out guest are not welcome to stay around for many hours afterwards - and we were ignorant enough to not understand - but we'd rather be courteously informed than almost being escorted out. And unfortunately that was the latest memory we had at the hotel.

On our mother/daughter trip we spent two nights on our way back home in Sydney - at the Pullman Grand Quay. Our apartment was a Deluxe two bedroom harbour view and it was fantastic.

Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen (with well stocked minibar), laundry, dining and living room. Huge windows framed The Rocks, Sydney Harbour Bridge and across to Luna Park. The view was beautiful during the day and stunning from sunset right through the night...and it was so easy to pop downstairs and find great food from one of the many restaurants within a few minutes walk. Of course we got takeout and sat and ate on our balcony overlooking the Quay.

This was the perfect ending for our holiday! ...also thanks to the amazing staff - nothing was too much trouble and they were really friendly and helpful.

P.S. The indoor swimming pool and spa are fabulous too! ?

Great location near the Opera House and Botanical. The hotel was excellent also. Wonderful room with a nice view of the harbor. The 1-bedroom had a full kitchen with washer and dryer. However the inside of the refrigerator was very wet. Not sure if the door closed all the way or not. They also stocked the fridge with various drinks and had a note that water was complimentary however we received a charge on our credit card so it must have been a different water bottle. We had a complimentary cheese platter which was very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

At first, the staff are welcoming and helpful. The room is nice. In terms of the supplies, I'm a little bit disappointed as when I was having a shower, the shampoo had an ample amount and then ran out when I wanted to wear slippers I didn't have any as the rest of my family used it, my son rang the housekeeping but then they said they ran out of it. I booked 5 adults and 1 child so I'm expecting 5 slippers, I remember when I booked the stay I requested a crib or cot for my child but there was nothing in the room. Overall, it was a good stay except for the lack of supplies.

We booked a two bedroom suite, and it was an excellent room. Furnishings were comfortable and stylish. HVAC was easy to manage. Only negative there was vent blowing directly on pillow area in primary bedroom. Kitchen and equipment was clean and a good set. Pool and spa facility was novel and comfortable. Staff was exceptional. Only negative experience was the in-room laundry: the dryer was extremely loud and in need of service. Keeping the laundry doors closed prevented clothes from drying because exhaust fan in ceiling had poor draw, thus moist air was recycled. Leaving laundry door open caused horrible racket in room (and adjoining rooms, I suspect).

An excellent place to stay in Sydney if you want to be in the middle of the action. Right by the quay, moments from the Opera House and Botanical Gardens and with plenty of eating options right outside the door. Out only complaint if you could call it that would be that things such as check out time, the free drink vouchers etc could have Ben a little better explained to us upon checking in, rather than us having us chase the information. However, this didn't impact it stay.

What a disappointment.
On check in our room
- had no robes
- had no coat hangers
- sofa bed was unmade which was disappointing as we checked in just before midnight
- no blanket for sofa bed. had to sleep with sheet only
- no room service menu. when we asked for one the concierge said 'just use mini bar' (which we didn't)

Then next morning. The following happened:
- kitchen tap didn't work
- bathroom flooded
We had to be moved to a new suite

Entered new suite Friday morning. All looked good. We had robes, blankets, linen, coat hangers and room service menu. All looking okay.

Went out for the day, came home to this:
- housekeeping had not been to clean the suite; and
- air conditioner not working and suite was like an oven. maintenance came to look at and had to turn on via the main switch

I am extremely disappointed with my experience so far, especially in light of the price I have paid and for a 5 star establishment. I would like someone to contact me about this as reception staff do not care

Rooms and view are great, but nothing else unfortunately!

I was so excited for this weekend away and our experienced turned out poor.

1. I didn't want valet parking but they didn't even give me the option to park my own car.. they then charged me $75 to drive it downstairs not to be touched all weekend to then be charged another $75 to bring it back up on check out. Absolutely ridiculous prices to park my car when I didn't even want this done.

2. No robes in our room when we arrived I called housekeeping over 5 times both days for no answer and it seemed like they kept hanging up the phone. I called reception to tell them and they just said what did I want and they'd get it for me. I got towels but no robes at all.
Our room also didn't get cleaned and the bathroom was quite dusty. The wallpaper in our room was also peeling off.

3. The service was terrible over the phone with just how they spoke and communicated.

4. We also got charged for something at breakfast when we were told breakfast was included in our final cost.

5. Upon check out the lady said we had to pay for our accomodation which in fact was paid a month prior to our stay. If I wasn't on the ball I could of paid again.

6. My partner asked for rose petals to be put on the bed upon arrival for my birthday and when we arrived this wasn't there regardless of all the correspondence from the staff that this would be done.

overall I'm super disappointed with this place, I won't be staying again and I wouldn't recommend it.

This is my second day here and I am so disappointed. I could kick myself for not sticking to what I know with IHG hotels. Let me start with check in, the front desk lady literally tried to upsell everything. Do you want an upgraded room, breakfast, daily water? It was quite off-putting. They did allow us to checkin early when I let them know I was celebrating our anniversary and just got off an early morning flight. BTW, don't expect water in the rooms. It's not included. SMH. ICE machine?.....Not working. Gym equipment. Only treadmill works. I get the "1600s Victorian" decor of the hotel. That's fine. But, the carpet in my room is dirty, peeling wallpaper throughout, old chipping furniture. There is only 2 towels and 2 washcloths in the bathroom. So, just forget about showering twice in 1 day. We left our outlet adapter at the hotel in Melborne so my husband asked the front desk staff who (condescendingly) reminded him "if you lose this, we will be charging your card $20. So just remember to bring it back! "
The only GREAT and I mean GREAT thing is location. It's in an incredible spot just walking distance to the harbor and Opera house. However, We will NOT be returning here!

I recently stayed at the Quay Grand Sydney Hotel and was disappointed with my experience. While the decor and general maintenance of the hotel remain the same as they were 23 years ago, there were several issues that marred our stay.

One of the toilets in our room appeared to have yellow urine stains on the seat. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be yellow dried bubble stains, which still raised concerns about cleanliness.

We decided to order breakfast through room service and called an hour later to check on the status of our order. We were told it would be with us soon. However, after waiting for 1.5 hours, we called again, and they claimed it was only 5-10 minutes away. This delay was frustrating, especially on Father's Day. Close to two hours later, we received a call saying there was a problem with the system, and they asked if we still wanted the breakfast. Unfortunately, we had no more time left as we had to rush to the airport.

When we brought up our concerns with the front desk reception, their excuse was that they were busy with Father's Day. In my opinion, a 5-star hotel should have anticipated increased demand on special occasions and ensured adequate staffing. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths, considering the high cost of staying here.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend the Quay Grand Sydney Hotel based on my recent visit. We won't be returning, and we will make sure to share our disappointing experience with our friends to prevent them from facing similar frustrations.

This place has so much promise. I had the pleasure of communicating with Sammy (She's an assistant manager) who was courteous, professional and proficient. This is everything you expect from a high end hotel. However, the rooms were dated and some staff were not 5 star. The location of this establishment is amazing. It's minutes from all the sydney sights. I hope to go back when certain upgrades have been made to the building and front of house. If everyone acted like Sammy and certain improvements were made then this place would really be special. Thank you Sammy for your diligent work ethic.

My wife and I spent a relaxing weekend at the Pullman Quay Grand where we enjoyed fantastic harbour and spectacular Vivid lights. The hotel is centrally located with short easy strolls to restaurants, Opera House and Botanical Gardens.
Special thanks to Omi at reception who warmly welcomed us and ensured our stay was perfect. We can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour.

Absolutely GREAT location, stayed 1 night for VIVID. Super reception and concierge staff. Apartment was average for the price. No hand soap, delivered promptly on request. Exterior electric blind not working, room a bit tired for the $700 per night. Bed however was supurb. Breakfast ok but not up to Pullman standards.
Hotel Needs a management upgrade - complacency creeping in.

Location is actually 9 stars, would be 10 if you could see the Opera House as well. Great hotel to sit on the balcony and watch the world go past. The staff were friendly. The interior is a little dated, especially the bathroom but the kitchen is excellent with a good sized fridge, dishwasher and oven.

We stayed when the Cahill expressway was closed for a festival so we got live music as well.

One of my favourite hotels.

Fantastic location, rooms are very well laid out, but surprisingly dated. Lots of wood and wood trimmings that I think are trying to display elegance but miss the mark. Very comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and service is very good.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I pulled up in the car and stepped into the lobby, You can tell that this was a top-quality hotel.

The feel of the hotel was luxurious understated and sophisticated, yet still comfortable and inviting. And despite being located in the heart of Sydney, the hotel was surprisingly quiet.

But what set this hotel apart was the amazing staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Whether I needed assistance with my luggage, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed for my short stay in Sydney.

Of course, one of the main draws of the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney is the world-class views. I was lucky enough to have a room with a stunning view of Sydney Harbour, which is rather breathtaking. And watching the ferries and cruise boats come and go from the balcony and hotel's restaurant during breakfast was a real highlight of my stay.

Overall, I can't recommend the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney enough. The quality of the stay was exceptional, and the views and location were unbeatable. Whether you're visiting Sydney for the first time or you're a local or regular visitor to Sydney looking for a luxurious staycation, this hotel is definitely worth considering. 5stars

Room view was fantastic
After writing a bad review about the cost of our NYE experience and not receiving even free water after paying $8000 for 2 nights I received a phone call from the new manager Zayne who was most apologetic and offered us a bottle of Champagne and apologies for our experience.
I must say I was impressed and thankful to receive both the call and the wine

Amazing Location!
Friendly and Great staff, service!
Great coffee!
The beds were comfy, pool and gym was nice.
Spa had a leak so I asked staff to fix it, then the next morning the spa was fixed for us to relax in!
I would have liked to see more environmentally-friendly initiatives and would encourage the hotel to take the lead.

Brilliant service, so helpful and happy staff! Beds super comfy and rooms large. Best location with amazing views. Everything was pretty much perfect ??'?

The hotel had what we sought. Location near ferries, trains and tram. Views of the Bridge and Harbour that exceeded expectations. Floorplan for our family (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom). In unit laundry was small but got the job done. Breakfast in Q Dining (see separate review) was a great way to start each day. When we returned after several days for a second short stay it felt really great to be back.

What a perfect spot to spend a few weeks in Sydney. We are used to staying in the best hotels, but we need a long term stay place where we could have a kitchen, laundry, and some good space, ideally a separate bedroom. We were lucky enough to book the Pullman Grand Quay, where the staff could not do enough for us - they really went out of their way to be helpful and get us settled. We were here for a wedding and so we had a lot of clothes for the whole weekend - way too much for the small bedroom closet. No problem at the Pullman! Up came a garment rack and a small chest of drawers. No request is too small or too large and the stuff is just nice, especially David the manager who helped us when we first arrived. The food in the restaurant is pretty good, and the location - well, it's simply sensational! It doesn't get better than this. We highly recommend this hotel for any long stay - not bad for a short one, too! Great team, great spot, great hotel! I'm sorry we have to leave in a few days! ?

The location and views (from a deluxe harbour view room) were just fantastic. There amenities were in general very good...comfy bed, good couches a(for a change)and good TVs etc. BUT...for the very high price there were some stingy penny pinching that seems inappropriate. The maintenance is lacking - sticky door to veranda, very difficult to lock door to veranda, broken ironing board, single ply toilet paper. 3 of the 4 lifts were out of operation (did they tell us when booking....did they tell us when checking in....was there a rate reduction...NO to all the above. They did leave a little note on the coffee table though). Each and every time we wanted to use the lift it involved a significant wait..many times having to wait for the solitary lift to make more than one trip. We also got locked out of our room due to the batteries in the lock going flat, which took 4 trips to reception...over 30 minutes with 1 lift!

You should really be able to select 6 stars for the location of this hotel. The views over the CBD and harbour are insanely good. Great spacious room made our stay perfect. The pool wasn't quite as warm as I'd hoped but it was still so relaxing.

Location is amazing right in Sydney Harbour. Such a treat to have an apartment to look out over the bustle of the day and the quiet of the evening. You honestly feel it's your own place with very little interaction with staff and a secure entrance. An easy walk to the Opera House and Botanical Gardens for spectacular sunrises and stunning sunsets from the balcony.

Have stayed here many times & love this hotel. The rooms a great size & very comfortable. You can have a room that looks towards the Harbour bridge or the Botanical gardens. Staff have always been very friendly and professional.

I love this Hotel. This was my second staycation at this Hotel within a few months because I enjoyed my first stay so much. The location is prime, being across the road from the Royal Botanic Gardens, and a short walk to the Opera House, The Rocks, and to Circular Quay railway station. I loved my room. It was a one-bedroom suite and such a good size, with a large lounge room, a decent size kitchen (not that I used anything other than the fridge for my wine), a good size bathroom with a spa bath that filled quickly and a shower with strong water pressure. The bed was comfy and the choice of pillows was lovely. On top of all that, all the staff I encountered were very professional, polite and friendly.

Update: Thank you, I enjoyed this place so much. The location was amazing, and so was the view. I've stayed here a few times, once even on New Years, this hotel is honestly the best one I've ever been to. My only issue is the elevator to the pool, it's a bit clunky but the pool it's self was really nice. Stay here you won't regret it!

Friendly staff and great views. Family 2 bedroom suite was great for our needs. Not budget but you pay for the location.
