Great historic hotel that has recently been renovated. Lovely staff who were always smiling. Old world charm because of the lots of history in a 130 year old hotel but still very modern and comfortable

Stayed in room 226 - and whilst it's recently renovated so feels quite fresh, the location of this room is horrific. You have to go into the pool area to access it, so wouldn't want to mis-step and end up in the water after a drink or two.
The next issue is that's it on a very busy corner so I spent the entire night listening to the tick tick tick of the traffic lights and it drove me INSANE. Walls were paper thin, could hear the entire conversation in the next room and was then woken by their alarm at 6am as if it was beside my own head.
The hotel staff seemed friendly enough but pretty brisk on their communications.
Parking is in a public lot across the road so super inconvenient when having to bring your stuff in.
Good location directly across from the Murray though so easily accessible for a walk down the river.

2 star .......just.
Checked in at 730pm after work.
Was given room 20A which is next to the elevator. This is an old hotel so the elevator is quite loud.
As a bonus I had a group of dumb bogans making noise till late and the clock radio alarm going off in the room next door.
Still waiting on a tax invoice. ????
Business travelers, maybe try elsewhere.

Very conflicted about this place. The staff and reception were absolutely lovely and so friendly. I couldn't be happier with the customer service. But the rooms....the rooms were VERY old fashion and are definitely due for a renovation. The PowerPoints were wobbly and not working fully. The shower door didn't have a handle so you couldn't close it from the inside.
The beds weren't very comfortable and the mattresses were very stained. The carpet was stained and there was pieces clearly cut out and replaced with the same type of carpet. I was very disappointed with the rooms as the front looked very fancy and clean. The door handles were wobbly and the sink taps weren't installed properly.

The safety was okay. There wasn't a lock except a latch for the balcony door. I wish there was more security when it came to the front door of the room.

You will have to be careful when walking to your room as the hallway is wonky and there are invisible inclines and declines.

We had the buffet breakfast and it was decent, wasn't the best I have had, but was definitely edible.

I personally don't think I will be coming here again. Unless the rooms get a major upgrade, I don't really think it's worth the money.

Rooms are old and tired looking, but clean our room was above the restaurant and was a bit noisy.
The bed was not that comfortable at all really needed a pillow top on it.
Staff were nice and friendly.
Bathroom had been renovated but the silicone job in the shower was very poor and coming off.

We held an event at the Quality Hotel Mildura Grand recently and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the location and the staff. Everyone in the team that I spoke to either prior/lead up to the day or on the day were absolutely amazing. Can not stress enough how helpful and amazing Ceylan was with assisting with all aspects of the day, Kathy and her flexibility with our group booking and Sam on the day doing alot of the running around for us and looking after every request we had with such grace! Thank you Quality Hotel Mildura Grand for making our event a success from beginning to end. The team certainly kept my stress in check and delivered exactly what we required of the day!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough to accommodate our requests. Rooms were lovely, airy and a little old worldly.

Given different room to the room with a courtyard balcony that we had booked.
Toilet bubbling , overflowing and would not flush. Told hotel fully booked and no alternative room available. Would call maintenance re toilet. Several drinks and 2 hrs later returned to reception and maintenance had not been. Given keys to another room despite being told on arrival that hotel fully booked.Rooms are urgently in need of renovation. Housekeeping was okay, bed made and fresh towels and toiletries and milk and bottled water.
The Grand ain't so grand anymore and it could be returned to its grandeur with a complete renovation. It has so much potential.Beautiful heritage building with so much history
The proximity to restaurants etc is so convenient.

Staff lovely & were very helpful, location great - close to all pubs & restaurants, though rooms are very average, lighting for putting on makeup in the bathroom is poor, quite noisy overnight - due to the age of the building & doors banging upstairs, stayed a Saturday night & lots of guests coming in all night.

Just left the Grand this morning. Room service was terrible. They didn't wash the wine glasses we used. They didn't put fresh milk or water in the fridge on day two.
The Balcony was filthy, nothing wiped down. The light over the coffee making facilities didn't work. No draws for your clothes, no phone. Only one king sized bed in the whole lace and it wasn't in our room.

Beautiful old restored hotel right in the middle of Mildura. Doors to the rooms are not fire rated and lock on the door to the balcony was not working. Just had a small slide bolt and catch was bent and I had to get a screw driver from the car to bend back into shape. No chest of draws to put clothes in and had to leave in bag and needed a table.
Pool was great but a bit busy in the middle of the day as temp reached 40deg c. Couldn't fault staff.

Very disappointed with our stay at the grand hotel Mildura. Please be aware of the false advertisement. Our room is nothing like what the photos are online. The rooms are extremely old and filthy. Power points don't work, lights are dull, bathrooms are small enough you can hardly move, toilets not cleaned properly and while showering it is boiling one minute and ice cold the next. Could not be anymore disappointed.
Reception staff very Rude when I asked for room change she looks me like wanna say get out from here. Reception manager doesn't know how to talk with customers.
Dead flies everywhere.

As there was no lift, only a steep staircase to the first floor & no offer of help from staff, we changed to a room on the ground floor, having been assured all rooms were of equal quality. A rabbit warren through corridors & doors, relaying our luggage. The rooms lighting was so dim that reading was barely possible, although stained carpet & grubby glasses were visible. No coat hangers , no hooks or handles on which to hang anything. No ABC or SBS reception. A disappointing experience.

first room i stayed at smelt horrible and as if the bedding hadn't been changed next few days my skin has broken out a little from the pillow, the window also did not lock and it was very easy to get in and out of. food service was shocking there was also no mini bar, u could hear everything quite clearly; people in other rooms and noise outside, the second room i stayed at also had no window in the bathroom. i am usually able to dismiss all of this however it cost $180 for one night which i think is overpriced considered the rooms weren't met to it's expectations. it is very close to the train station though so i guess that's a plus.

Rude check in, did not call us when room was ready, very expensive for a dirty, half renovated room. Dead flies and dust on window sills , torn bed spreads , stained carpet, television not working properly. Expect it from a $90 a night room Not $235 a night room.

Friendly staff at checkin, nice and cosy rooms, cleaning staff that I bumped into in one of the hallways where very polite, professional and had a sense of humour.
Looks like the bathrooms have been renovated recently, it was a nice touch to a lovely stay

I am very disappointed with the service from this hotel. I stayed with some friends here and noticed that the showers were luke warm in the morning (this is with hot water on at full capacity with no cold) and my bed sagged in the middle.
I accidentally left my very good and expensive Tempur pillow there. I called the same day once I realised my error and was told someone would call me back once they had spoken to "house keeping". I have called multiple times and been told I will get a call back and have not once received one. I have also sent an email and still not received a reply. After reading the other reviews I see I'm not the only one who has had bad service staying at this motel.

Highly disappointed in this hotel after having driven for 15 hours to get to Mildura and arriving close to midnight l needed a hotel with 24 hour reception.
I checked into the grand and was given my key to a room when l got to it there were no mattresses on the beds go back down stairs to get given a key to another room. I have been down graded from a queen room to a single ?. Back down stairs l go only to be asked do l have someone else with me, not the point l have paid for a queen room.
Not another one available apparently so l go back to the single room?.
It was filthy a ring of dirt around the base of the bedside lamp, the furniture was scuffed and stained. The bathroom had moisture marks on the walls the bottom of the shower was marked and stained. Considering l have heard people say they loved their stay at the Grand l will not be one of them.
To top it all off when l go down stairs in the morning to hand in my key l was told by reception that the house cleaning crew is new and they cant keep up.
Its just not good enough if they cant keep up employ more people or train them better.
I wouldn't give them any stars the room was awful and so was my stay.
Not the best way to spend $105, l was initially charged $175 lm supposed to be getting a $70 refund. I shall wait and see if it happens.

The double bed had a significant body impression or dip. So much so that I slept in the single bed in order to get some sleep. The bed needs to be replaced. I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs as there was no lift/ elevator. Noise from people talking at night outside the room reverberated easily into the room as the area is an enclosed courtyard surrounded by 2 story brick. Perhaps a heavy curtain over door and windows would help.

Very convenient location. While a grand old building, the rooms aren't the best. No opening windows for fresh air. Slippery and dangerous bathroom floor. Maybe not all rooms are same as ours, probably quite a mix in a large old place like this.

Not overly impressed. I loved that the building has such a long standing history, but sadly it's not restored to a level that could reflect the beauty it once had. Service was friendly enough, however the rooms overlooking the Main Street were very loud. Waited for hours to have our room cleaned which wasn't done very well. Rooms walls were chipped and damaged. Overall it was an average stay.

Room was spacious and clean. The pool and pool area is a great spot to relax. Hotel is central to the main Street, with plenty of variety with food options. All staff were courteous and obliging with any requests. In fact, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was most comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel!!!
