Wasn't crazy busy but was still a great friendly and fun pub atmosphere. Really enjoyed the demographic of this pub, all walks of life and super friendly and up for a chat which was great as i was on my own. Food was really good, had the calamari and that can often go either way at a pub but they nailed it. Will definitely revisit.

We really enjoyed our meal and drinks at The Queens Head Hotel last weekend. The food portions are epic, like a real big pub meal. The deserts, you can definitely share the delicious-ness. We tried the apple crumble and brownie between 3 of us. So good, I'm still dreaming about that brownie!
We played some board games, too, and loved the atmosphere of the old decor. The new owners are doing a great job.

Hands down the best pub meal in Ballarat! Awesome new menu with great weekly specials. Chef that knows how to cook - delicious home made lasagne, burgers and perfectly cooked steaks. Friendly staff, warm relaxed atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend.

The food was great, excellent service and the beer selection on tap was amazing. Coopers pale ale and Brenhey stout on tap (and others)!! Awesome

The Queens Head is superb - excellent pub meals with a warm, honest and friendly atmosphere. Old school pub energy, with cozy mismatched tables and chairs, cold beers, and the best trivia in town (possibly the southern hemisphere) on Thursday nights. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

We had a fantastic lunch here. Fun, over the top royal decor with mix matched historic furniture.

Old fashioned, friendly service and delicious meals and generous sizes.

Scotch egg and Parma where both great, kids loved their meals too. Staff all friendly, the sparkling bitter beer was 10/10.

I spent the last month in Ballarat due to work so was looking for a pub to spend sometime at.

Although only open from Wednesday to Sunday, it was a place I enjoyed going back to. Friendly staff that were always happy to have a chat, great selection of beer on tap, and they actually still do the mixed grill!!

Best bit was free trivia was every Thursday night which I do recommend, enjoyed my time there, definitely consider if your after a quite pub to wind down after a hard day at work that does a good meal service aswell.

Family-friendly atmosphere, great food, and a good selection on tap. Staff are experienced and offer excellent service. A variety of activities such as trivia and raffles (just to name a few) occur weekly and are open for all to participate. The Queens Head provides a great opportunity for the local and broader community to socialise and connect.

This recently updated pub has a nice atmosphere and a solid food selection. The Wino Wednesday is a promotion that gives you the rest of the bottle if you buy 2 large glasses.... I liked this idea!
The schnitzel was good. I didn't care for the chips or the whitebait and the 'Rarebit' is interesting. There were no 'specials' or soup and we had to order at the bar, which is okay when you are in a cheap diner, but dinner for 2 costing over $140 could have had table service.
I liked the atmosphere and decor.... Quirky and welcoming. Staff were also very pleasant.

It was ok, limited menu, unless you are a fish eater. Food was well presented. I wouldn't rush back

Excellent service and great meals, we really enjoyed the experience. White bait and Chicken snitzel were delicious and on tap Coopers perfect. Attentive service by Paul and other staff combined with good atmosphere just capped off a good evening.

Absolutely excellent pub, this was a last minute decision as we needed a place for dinner, we just wanted a pub feed and a cold beer but this was soo much more, Absolutely beautiful dinning area, service as soon as we walked in the door, the meals were out quick and spot on, what a place, thank you to the staff Absolutely recommended this one

Having been re painted and freshened up we dined here last night. Beer is chilled and taste is great. Wine list has a few different wine by the glass to choose from. We had a good choice of food items from the menu and each dish was delivered promptly and hot and delicious. Enjoyable time. Please note a booking is best

Was lucky enough to try a preview of what's to come at the newly renovated Queenshead tonight. They pay a beautiful tribute to the queen herself, the decor makes you feel at home. A beautiful family run business, the meals are not you typical pub meal, they have based there menu around a British theme, which was amazing and great to see something different in Ballarat. My favourite meal was desert, a delicious sticky toffee pudding! The butterscotch sauce was next level amazing.
Will definitely be back! Great family vibes

I had the pleasure of eating and dining in at the unbelievably updated queens head this evening, the entire pub had changed the warming atmosphere and the service from all the staff was amazing, now the food this was next level all the way through from entrees to the desert I will most certainly be returning

Went to the Queens Head for the first time for a Karaoke night. Lovely environment, people were lovely and service was good.

Fantastic night. Great food cold beer and fantastic music. I did a couple of Ozzy songs. Live music every Friday night.

Fantastic food, value for money. The staff are all really nice. The owner Tony is really friendly.
You can drop into the bar, have a drink and a meal and chat with the locals or have lunch or dinner in the bistro.
I enjoyed the garlic prawns with rice. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the garlic sauce was delicious. Compliments to the chef.
I also had a few cocktails ?.
I highly recommend popping into the Queen's Head hotel.

Lovely service. Wonderful garlic bread. However wife's seniors chicken schnitzel was so thin and very crispy she couldn't cut most of it with a knife and had to pull it apart with her hands as best as she could and then take bites of it. She felt very uncomfortable doing this.
