Queens Tavern, Highgate WA

Went to the Queens for a drink late last night. Was having a lovely time chatting inside in the warmth, 11.30pm we are unceremoniously told to leave and sit outside as the staff "have to clean". We said it was cold out. "There's heaters outside", the bouncer said as she herds us out. As we sit down to finish our drinks, all the heaters get turned of and staff members hover to take glasses and wipe tables at any moment, one tried to take our drinks when we hadn't finished. It ruined the evening. You don't close at 12, you close at 11. You treat you clients badly. I'm not sure if your cutting costs, trying to clean up and clear out by 12, but I've never been treated like that at the end of the night. We almost felt the were going to sweep us onto the curb. People on other table were saying similar. It came across really rude Won't be coming back.

I came to Queens on a long weekend Saturday. Very peaceful, as it usually very busy at lunchtime on weekends. I had the Meatball Sub, which was delicious and filling. Great atmosphere and service. Nice wood fires and beautiful bar areas. Highly recommend this great pub.

Please, add gluten free pizza bases to the menu 😊
The place is very nice, located in a lovely area, very stylish and cozy atmosphere. The food was nice too, the only thing I would add is that there are very few gluten free options on the menu (most of the menu consists of pasta, pizza etc) and no gluten free pizza base option available.
If you could add that, it would be amazing, thank you!

Turned up on a busy Sunday afternoon.
Place has old school look and vibrant atmosphere.
Service at bar or if you have a table, order using QR Code.
Staff friendly and attentive although some look like they didn't want to be at work.
Snacks (pictured) we ordered were yarrrm.
Prices reasonable.

Excellent service by Naomi and Craig and very good food and drinks. A bit pricey hence why 4 stars but I guess someone's got to pay rent isn't it? $28 for a chicken salad is a bit steep though. Very happy nevertheless and will be back soon, was there last week for drinks too.
