Great vibes and venue for drinks and food. Open late. They have a nice beer garden area and some indoor seating. Good for medium sized groups. They have a good range of tap beers and other beverages. Their food is standard pub fare, on the expensive side. Overall facilities are nice and a short 12 minutes walk to the train station and 5 minutes to the bus. Parking is limited street parking.

Really nice place to land for a relaxing dinner with a friend after flying into Sydney. Lamb was delicious, cookies and cream cheesecake was awesome, glad I didn't share it.

Well it isn't the Rag of old but it is still OK. The staff were friendly but it wasn't busy on Monday night so that might change. Some bar staff were excellent, others not so good. For food we had the steak on special and the fish and chips. Neither come with any salad or veggies, just chips. Same thing with the beef and guiness pie. The side salad was generous an the steak was good. The fish wasn't good at all. I think that it's about 40 years since the last time I didn't finish some fish but the fish at the Rag I couldn't finish.
So on my night out and trip down memory lane I visited three old haunts in North Sydney and the Rag was the best of three.

Out for the day and found this gem, food was delicious, and sat outside watching the World go by.
Shoutout to the young guy outside washing the white fencing down, very friendly, and gave us directions as we weee going to head in the wrong direction.
Definitely visit if ya nearby.
Rag & Famish Hotel is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 AM to midnight. They are also open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM until 3 AM the following morning. On Saturday they're open from 11 AM until 3 AM the following morning. On Sunday they operate from noon to 10 PM.
