Railway Hotel Lidcombe

I used to come for years to
Have a drink wile I'm waiting for the train but tonight was Awful service and management, they didn't serve me cos I supposed to be intoxicated or perhaps cos my friend is black and they didn't wanna serve us. Will definetly never come back. Shame of this manager.

As a Lidcombe local I came down on NYE for a quiet-ish night with the family. We found the food not too bad at all. Nice cocktails and what stood out was the service. Happy staff. Not sure why there has been bad reviews about them. They were great. Can't wait till the upstairs bar opens. Good for a chilled evening.

Pathetic, snotty, cheap and abusive staff. Every time expecting for the tips from the customers even for serving a glass of a beer 🍺 . Zero customer service etiquette. Highly recommend owner to change the staff especially working during night times, if they want their business to do well in future.

Who do I complain too about the manager tonight? I came in around 7:30pm tonight (September 21st, 2024), hadn't had a drink and he reluctantly served me after an interrogation. Seemed offended by my hearing problem? Then cut me off after 4 hours and 4 beers. Despite the fact I was sitting there quietly, watch the football and on my phone? Meanwhile a "regular" older bloke was stumbling around being a menace... I feel belittled and frankly offended. Went over to Lidcombe hotel for much better service and more reasonable management even if they are a little bit pricier. New to the area but know where I'll be going to watch the footy moving forward
