Bottlemart Express - Railway Hotel, Murrurundi NSW

What a wonderful hotel. Trish was a wonderful host, it's like we were the only ones in the hotel. We had a T bone steak that was beautifully cooked. If you are going through Murrurundi, stop at the Railway Hotel and have a beer. Trust me you won't regret it. It's just off the Hwy so google it.

A quiet, good old country hospitality pub away from a noisy highway near the railway station. Great meals. Will go again!

I stayed at the pub last night. They had a massive cook up out the back and all the food was good. The people here are great. The service is good with the staff interacting with the locals. The beer is cold and well poured. The rooms were above what I expected with the good bedding on a very comfortable bed in a clean room. The pillows could do with replacing though. The room had a good AC and a TV. The common showers were clean with good water pressure. Parking is on street and wasn't an issue as it's located off the highway. It's a good experience and I'll be back.

We popped in for a beer and sticky beak of the beautiful old pub.
Greeted with a friendly welcome and a chat with the lady who owns the pub.
Nice beer garden out back. We didn't eat or stay.
We will be back to try a meal.
Inside and outside tidy.
