Was pleasantly surprised.... Saw some average reviews but decided to try it out...very pleasant service at the bar...nice easy menu...my companion had the fish and chips...very happy...me the brisket burger...very impressed...tasty and well prepared...so much so I complimented the kitchen staff in the way out.
It is gourmet?...no...but a very good pub ,eat...in comfortable surroundings

We have just spent 3 night here. The room is small but really clean and the bed is very comfortable. The food is brilliant and great sized for the priced. The atmosphere in the pub is friendly and the drinks were great. Sitting outside was also really good. Will happily stay here again..!

Went to the pub for an evening meal as the rain was omnipresent. The flake was very ordinary, the small salad bowl was interesting as it was half pasta. The beef rib was undercooked. Both meals came out very quickly, indicating that they had been reheated, not cooked.
