First time staying at the Ramada hotel in Ballina, comfortable rooms with awesome views of the river and mountains, with stunning sunsets from the balcony. Close to the main street for easy shopping. Beautiful walking path behind the hotel leading along river, with stunning wildlife right there. I saw a pod of dolphins swimming by chasing fish and jumping around. Definitely a place I would stay again just for the views.

The staff at Ramada Ballina need retraining to better understand that the customers are the ones that pay their weekly pay cheque. On more than one occasion I have been disappointed by the customer services at this venue. Do better. Customers work hard for the money we pay to stay at this location. Thank you.

We have stayed here often, over the years. This used to be a top class place to stay.
Now it's not so much. Maintenance and cleanliness appear to have been abandoned.
The room was filthy, there were hairs from shaving all over the sink and a collection of huge black pubic hairs on the floor. There was dirt and dust in practically every corner. The outdoor table didn't look like it had ever been cleaned since being bought.
Half the channels on the TV were missing, I couldn't say if the problem was in transmission or setup, as you can't reach any of the menus through the stupid universal remote. The lack of the factory remote also means you have no access to essential features such as the EPG.
You get two whole coffee pods for a day. Pretty pointless even having the machine there.
There's a spa bath, but no bath salts to use with it. There's only the bare minimum of towels as well.
The restaurant and bar downstairs is long gone, along with a number of the other cafes that used to be below and next door. Consequently there's nowhere to get breakfast without a trek.

Great room with river view, had been a lot of rain so the river was in flood so a little disappointing in that regard. Comfortable beds and very quite area within walking distance to shops and places to eat.

I have experienced extremely rude house keeping staff.
Hotel services aren't great either with the amount of money you spend for two nights. I booked the hotel for my 1st wedding anniversary, I was disappointed how rudely house keeping staff spoken to me and ruined my entire day. Hotel didn't provide bathrobes for the pools. So stingy to even provide extra towels.
Not going to book it again!

Amenities. Fold out couch with comfortable futon bed. Location lovely atop a nice wine tasting bar and multiple restaurants. 3 min walk into Main Street. Very comfortable will return if staying in Ballina again.

This hotel was in an amazing location! The hotel features were amazing and the staff were friendly.
We stayed in a deluxe spa room. It was a great size and had a balcony, over looking the river. The bed was comfortable and excellent WiFi!
The only downside was that the hotel didn't communicate with their guests, that NYE fireworks were being set off, from the hotels roof.... sudden banging noises were quite unsettling. (Would have also been nice to know, so we could have gone and watched them!)

We are a couple, booked in at short notice, excellent value, very modern, very comfortable, bar fridge in h hotel suite, very reasonable prices, overlooking the river, heated pool, close walk to town, Woolworths and a choice of restaurants, and pubs. Very friendly staff, nice shampoo/ conditioner and body lotion to add to the luxury of your stay, wonderful hot showers. We loved watching the activity on the river. Book in you won't regret it. ?

I travelled to the area a few times, mostly staying at a local motel, my Ramada experience was very good.
Room was tidy, well appointed. WiFi was more than adequate for business needs.

Designed with co-shared entrance with laundry for two rooms was a new experience.

Well located, walking distance to restaurants and a woolies.

There is a lovely walk from the hotel along the river towards the ocean.

Parking was good, space adequate.

The restaurant was closed when I stayed, but There are plenty of local options nearby.

Would recommend this hotel to each and every member of my family and friends. Everything was spotless and clean and requests from reception were delivered immediately with a friendly smile. Would stay again and would recommend to anyone! Highly recommend the river view room.

Our weekend here at Ramada was fabulous! Such a relaxing place to chill and recharge. This Hotel ticked ALL the boxes. Delicious food. Excellent service. Quiet. Comfy bed (my huz always complains about the bed, but not at Ramada). Fantastic spa bath and shower. No waiting time for the lift. Staff were super prompt when I needed assistance navigating the TV channels and remote. Great location. I have found our weekend getaway for regular R&R.

The Ramada Hotel in Ballina is a really lovely place to stay. The location is excellent, being right on the river and in the middle of town. The rooms, service and facilities are all first class. We really appreciated the undercover parking and the friendly welcome upon arrival.

We have stayed in the Executive Suite Room 608, on several occasions, what an amazing room on the top floor with a huge balcony with over 270 degree views of the water. Highly recommend this room, it has a very comfortable bed, we will definitely be back again.

Absolutely loved our stay, one night was not long enough! We were celebrating our engagement and the staff were fantastic. The rooms were modern, clean and beautiful with everything you need. Amazing view on the river and a great restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend.

Room was lovely. Great view's. Disappointed with no room service and with the restaurant directly downstairs ???'. On the last day we saw dolphins just outside. Lovely way to finish a two day break away.

Check in was quick and easy. The room overlooked the river, it was amazing. The bed was very comfy. Check out only took 2 mins. Will be back.

I have attended meetings there and also had several meals at the restaurant there. I would recommend this venue for the mentioned events and also if you are looking for accommodation within easy walking distance of the CBD . Also has a beautiful riverside walk for a relaxing stroll

Pretty good room for a pretty good price, I have been waiting for food for 3 hours. The staff are great though friendly and helpful just don't eat here if you want your food.

Still staying at the moment in the suite. Housekeeping totally horrendous. They just make beds and replace towels. They do not clean the toilet bowl and sink. They do not clean the cups you used. They do not empty the rubbish bins. Is it normal standard in Australian hotels? Funny thing is when I asked for extra hand towel, housekeeping staff told me it was standard that there should only be one in the room until I insisted and she grudgingly handed me one. The next day, I requested again but was instead given extra floor mat. Truly perplexing.

We've stayed a few times now and it's consistently good. Lovely location overlooking the river. The rooms are comfortable with a coastal vibe. Worth paying the difference to have river views. Staff is lovely. Handy location with some very nice restaurants downstairs.

Only thing we'd change is the noise of the doors when they close. There is a shared foyer with room next door. The doors are very noisy when they close. We had a sudden wake up, out of an otherwise great night's sleep.

Fast wifi and comfortable beds in room. Nice view of sailboats. I am not a seafood fan so I didn't eat in hotel restaurant. Underground parking was very tight entry ramps.

The weather was awful when we were there so could not enjoy the Balcony. Room overlooked the river as promised and the view from the small balcony would have been excellent if the wind and rain had allowed us out there.
The room was mostly clean. There was a hair on a pillow that did not belong to us but otherwise it was good.
There is no toaster or microwave in the room. The mugs for tea and coffee are a good size and not those tiny cups that hold two sips that you find in most places.
The staff were all very friendly and eager to help. There are several places to eat within walking distance, although they all seem further away in the terrible weather. Woolworths is also close.
The room was quite small but as it's designed for only two people, it is adequate. There was a table and chairs as well as a chair at the desk and a patio setting out on the deck.
The bed was quite hard, but I like that. Tv was a good size for the room. Bathroom was roomy with a separate shower and spa bath.
I would definitely stay here again if I got a deal like this time. It's a bit expensive for me at full price but worth the money.

I have stayed here before and this time just as great. This is one of the best places I've stayed at. The view is magic , river rooms worth it watching the beautiful sunsets and sun rises. Love the boats going by the the water splashing. Room super clean and comfortable. Just love this place. Superb location. Wish I was staying longer this time but short visit for a wedding. I'll be back

Nicest Ramada in the universe! Everyone was friendly and the room was glorious (the sunrise from our balcony was awesome)... there are multiple food/bev options on-site... it's in a great location. After check-out, the host graciously allowed us to leave the car so we could wander around the city for a few hours. Well done y'all, thanks from Texas :)

I stay here regularly for business, about 40-50 nights a year. They are always welcoming and make me feel appreciated as a regular guest. Very happy with the quality of rooms, the cleanliness and proximity to great dining options. Can't beat the view of the river at sunrise and sunset.

From the money you walk in to checkout the staff are friendly and very helpful.
The room was great, the bed was soft and big. The shower was nice, towels were soft and bigger then other hotels I've stayed at.

Our room over looked the pool and town, the balcony was nice to sit and have a coffee and meal.

The hotel is in the perfect location, easy to walk to shops and walk to river.

Can't wait to comeback and stay again

What a beautiful hotel, prime position with the river views, convenient location with shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Very friendly and welcoming staff, super clean and tidy and the bed was so comfortable, best nights sleep. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay next time

We have been to Ramada Ballina many times. Great location, building, bar, rooms. We ask for the corner rooms, if available, and worth the cost. The views up and down Richmond River are amazing. Friendly staff, good parking.

Location is great. Restaurants has good food and very nice view. Service is very good. Cleaning service is not so good. Strangely very tiny storage facility. We would like to come again with a expectation of improved house keeping

Always great service from reservations and front desk staff. Clean and tidy with great views as well.

Overpriced, not very good service. Rooms don't even have proper tea or coffee making facilities, no cups & saucers, spoons or even a bottle opener in the room! Staff made us pay the full tariff ob arrival, I've stayed in many 5 star hotels and have never had to pay up front. 5 star prices, 1 star accommodation. I'd give it less than 1 star if it were possible.
