Great food and lovely service. They allowed my pup to join us in the undercover deck area and even welcomed her with her own bowl of water. The food was delicious! We all travelled from the South East and am contemplating the drive again...

Was in Ballarat for a few nights, went to The Red Lion for dinner the first night and the food was so good had to come back again the next night!

Staff were all very professional and friendly and the service was quick and attentive. Had an option to play music through the entire place from your phone via a QR code, really enjoyed our time here and we'll be coming back next time in Ballarat for sure!

Great spot for lunch or dinner with amazing food and friendly, attentive staff. The playground is a big bonus, keeping the kids entertained while you enjoy a relaxed and enjoyable meal with the family.

The food here was tasty but definitely cost more than we were expecting. The chicken parm was the taste / value winner of the experience.

My partner had the lamb cutlets which were tasty, I had a medium rare porterhouse which was nice with good salad, my youngest sister in law got the pumpkin focacia sandwich which she didn\'t like at all and woukdn\'t eat, the older sister got veggie dumplings which she rated alright and my mother in law got the chicken parm and she ate it all and loved it.

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!
We had a fantastic experience and service was exceptional. The food exceeded expectations - delicious and generous portions. We tried the beef burger, chicken parma, and an Angus steak, all cooked perfectly, especially the steak which was spot-on. Sitting by the fireplace made the atmosphere warm and inviting. A truly great spot to relax and enjoy a quality meal. Plenty of parking space on the side.

Great way to start the day!
After staying at the Sovereign Park Motor Inn overnight we walked next door for some breakfast before venturing off.
We ordered at the counter and had the
Corn Fritters plus the Eggs and Bacon with Mushrooms added.
The food was absolutely on point and delicious in every way!
Add to this, the staff were really friendly and gave us the space to take our time and to not be rushed, which is the perfect environment for a weekend breakfast!

Big country pub, great facilities, large bar and Penfolds Grange in cabinet for big spenders around $1100 per bottle. Extensive menu from breakfast to late night snacks. Well recommended. 🙂???'🦁

A great pub in a good location to lots of accommodation options. The food is basic but tasty, and the prices are reasonable.

First time to dine here with hubby. We already heard this place from some people and glad that we had the chance. Though I booked ahead, however, no reservation happened but the man who greet us ensure to make way to get a table for us. Food for me and hubby were excellent and yes, we're full. He likes the pudding and I like my entree, the beef tatiki (is that the right name😁). Surely will come back again and try other dishes.

We are in the restaurant section, where they have full table service. Staff are friendly and attentive, sevice was very good. The duck spring rolls were amazing. The snack pack parma, although good, was over sauced . The salad with the calamari was spot on in flavour and texture. It's definitely worth the drop in for a meal.

The Red Lion Ballarat is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 1 AM the following morning. They are also open Sunday and Saturday from 8 AM to midnight.
