The Richmond Inn, Richmond NSW

Had a great dinner, really nice lamb curry pie, great steak, good food all round.

Loved it so much went to order another lamb pie. Paid for it, waited and was given an apple pie instead. They told me that's what I ordered when I said I had definitely ordered the lamb pie.
No refund, no exchange, they basically said eat or leave it, we are not going to fix this. Disappointing end to an otherwise nice night.

Would recommend but make sure you write down the order for them because they confuse lamb and apple.

We visited The Richmond Inn for the Winter Frozen Festival. The venue was extremely busy and there were very few staff available to help us find our table and explain how the entry in to the "snow" worked. We were assigned a table inside away from the event and with a pram it was impossible to access everything easily as we had brought our oldest to play in the "snow". She had to wait till we ordered food to get a receipt, as our entry in to the event which was not explained and the line to order food was extremely long. The service was slow and our burger was almost raw. We were told that the burger patties are "cooked to temperature" but it was clearly raw. The meal was replaced but took a very long time. However, the pizza was great for a pub style meal. We paid $5 for a hot chocolate which was lukewarm and very watered down. The fairy floss was an overwhelmingly expensive $12 and the best thing about the day was the $1 giant marshmallow on a stick. It was a lot of fun for our oldest but as an adult I wouldn't visit again.

Dropped in here for a bite to eat as we were passing through Richmond. I fancied a steak. It was quite good but a bit thin for a 300g piece. Looked like the rest of the food was fairly good and the place is certainly popular. Came back the following day and had one of the best Thai Beef Salads outside of Thailand. The Baos were so so

Went here for a function recently and I was pleasantly surprised at how family friendly it was (albeit midday on a weekend).
Premises clean and the kids play area was a hive of kids. Only minor complaint was jug of lemonade I bought had run out of premix and being on my own with my kids I couldn't queue for a replacement. I'm sure the friendly staff would have replaced this however upon asking.

The Richmond Inn is definitely worth a stop. The food quantity and quality are exceptional, which explains why it's usually quite busy - for all the right reasons.
Despite the crowd, there are plentiful amounts tables available both inside and out, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. There is a beer garden with fireplace too!

Plus, the availability of toilets and easy parking adds convenience to your visit. If you're a fast food enthusiast, Richmond Inn is a spot you shouldn't miss!
