The Rising Sun

Had a beautiful dinner at the Rising Sun last night. Both meals were on point and the service was great too. Pub has that warm friendly country vibe that we all love. Definitely recommend you stop here for a meal or a bevvy when in the area.

Stopped in Auburn for lunch. Cafe was closing so sent us to the hotel. Beautiful seafood trio with perfectly cooked squid and amazing batter on the fish. Great chips and good salad

Great country pub. Wonderful family bar service. Friday night drinking Tim Adam's Pinot gris for $7.50 - go figure.
Had the ribs an chicken dish - awesome ☺️

It has been some time since we visited the Rising Sun, it was a very disappointing experience.
I had to double check the booking due to them not calling back. Sitting three adults on a two person table. Waiting over 50 minutes for our order to arrive, I asked how much longer and was told they were a chef down. We ordered two schnitzels and a seafood trio. When the food arrived it was overcooked and the fish batter burnt. I informed the owner and he said sorry. I don't like leaving negative reviews but we were Very Disappointed.

I'm gonna start out by saying that the food took over a hour to arrive. So I was expecting it to be good because if you have to wait a hour it better be good. So you may be asking was it good? The answer is yes it was good but it wasn't great. You see I got the Chicken schnitzel burger and the burger part of it was good. But the chips were very salty so salty in fact my lips shrunk back into my skin. And you see that is a big problem for me because my lips are soo big and luscious that it hurts when they are covered in tones of salt. But other than that I had to wait a hour to eat and that the chips were way too salty it was good.
