Rising Sun Hotel

The meals were excellent!
My wife is coeliac and staff were very careful to ensure that food was suitable.
The hotel is extremely clean.
At the end of our meal I observed a staff member cleaning the menus!

Friendly staff. It was a very busy Friday night (14th November 2025) so we did have to wait for 45 minutes for our meals. However, the food quality was exceptional and definitely worth the wait. We both ordered the steak sandwiches which exceeded our expectations - tender beef and a perfectly cooked egg (See photo). The price of $22 was excellent value as well. We were visiting from interstate so would definitely recommend The Rising Sun as a pub to visit.

I picked up our dinner order last night through the Bottleshop, as felt like steak but didn\'t want to go out to eat. We enjoyed our lovely dinner at home - it was all packaged up well for me and still hot when I got home. I received great service over the phone - so convenient to pick up and not even have to leave the car. Thank you!

I was called to confirm the booking and the service person was lovely.
When we arrived, the service person did not greet us, nor smile, or be friendly in anyway. We were pointed to table way at the back and told it had \'reserved\' on it.
Menu\'s were on the table. We were not told to go up and order, so i had to ask.
I went to the bar and ordered drinks, the service person was friendly, but did not offer me a tray to carry drinks, so i had to make 3 return trips to carry them all - this was slightly problematic, because of all the kids running around.
Service person at the ordering til was pleasant, but they did not know their menu very well, and had to ask 3 different people if the soup was vegetarian or not. I feel they should kinda know their menu at least enough to know what soup of the day is.
The meals came out in good time, and were very good. The prices are also good.
The atmosphere is very loud, and there were kids running rampant, but that soon settled after 1.30pm and we were about the only table there.
It is my Nans favourite place to eat, and we had a good time and a good meal.
The service staff could afford to be a bit more inviting and friendly and knowledgeable.

The Rising Sun have been more than accommodating for our Christmas end of year celebrations for several years. They are kind, courteous and always go out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home.
