Came down from South Gippsland to catch up with family looking for a comfortable environment to chat and enjoy a meal. Happy to say we were very pleasantly surprised. Publican was very welcoming and friendly. Service was quick, and the food was very enjoyable and prices very reasonable. Will definitely return next time we are in town

I went with some friends. We all had lovely meals. The size of the portions were just right. The staff were very friendly & efficient.

The Riviera is a standard suburban pub, with a seniors menu and lunch specials. We've been there a few times now, and the value for money stand out is the roast chicken lunch special. We've also tried the grilled salmon, the steak, and bangers & mash. The food is fine, not outstanding but good for a suburban pub. Parking and service is fine, but there is a complete lack of atmosphere in the bistro. I don't know why, but it feels like eating in a factory cafeteria. Perhaps if they had some creative lighting and soft music ...? I get the feeling that the manager is a no nonsense get things done kind of guy, and as such hasn't really turned his attention to atmosphere. A shame really, it could be a lovely cosy local venue. Just soften it.

Went there today for lunch with an old friend who is visiting from overseas. The two girls serving were delightful and the gentleman that appeared to be the manager was very friendly and polite. The food was great and very good value, would definitely recommends this place to anyone.

My old Friday favourite. Had many beers, meals and laughs there back in the day. Had lunch there Saturday. Place was nigh on empty. Been years since I have had Lambs Fry. Disappointing! Cut too thin. Bacon seemed recooked. Something different next time...

First time in my 10 years of drinking and eating out, have I been refused an order of two alcoholic drinks at once!!

As a single woman, I REGULARLY go out for dinner by myself. I like to order TWO drinks so I can eat my meal and enjoy a drink or two before leaving (sometimes 3 or 4!) Me and friends also do this - The old "double park".

This hotel is a bistro type meaning you DO need to get up and go to the bar to order another drink. There is no waitress taking orders.

As a single woman, I can't leave my meal unattended to get up to order a second drink?
Also now that I say that, I wasn't even offered any water.

As ANY patron, DINING at a premises, we should have comfort. For me, my dining experience alone is special to me as I usually have children with me. When I get a meal cooked for me, I want to sit down, wind down, and relax.

I was completely sober, Ordering my first two drinks to have with my "roast of the day". To be told no because "RSA". I've done my RSA!!

It may seem like nothing but it's like being treated like a kid in kindergarten?! From a girl who looked like she'd only just turned 18 herself.

I originally sat outside, where there was 4 dogs and people smoking. So I moved inside. Finished my first drink half way through my meal. Surprise surprise. I'm not getting up to leave my meal alone in this crusty, dirty, hotel.

My roast lamb was underwhelming. Many chewy parts. Carrots were hard. Flies coming after my meal inside. Food on the wall next to my table. Bad service. Bad set up. Unclean. Understaffed. Don't recommend.
