Rose & Crown Hotel Parramatta

Ordered the steak and Guinness pie. It looked and smelled delicious. However, the steak was actually unchewable. I couldn't even cut it. Even chuck steak can be rendered tender when cooked slowly, as the recipe requires. This was purely gristle and sinew. When I said as much to the wait staff, he promptly took my complaint to the cook. I didn't get any reply!!!

Stylish pub with that typical colonial English feel like many premises around the Parramatta area. Modern interior but still holds that classic older ambience with soft lighting and earthy colours. On tap beer refreshing and a fair selection of wines. Bistro food really tasty and reasonably priced. Had the battered fish and the Parramatta Burger. Ordered extra Fries but no need had plenty served as part of the meal. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
