Royal Hotel

We dined here with our kids, who can be a little fussy, and the staff were fantastic about accommodating a few modifications. The meals are consistently high quality, and that's why we keep coming back. A special thank you to Henry for the excellent service - you made our visit easy and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back again!

Very bad service.
I am here with my Dad for Christmas lunch. I am vegetarian which they know about as it was marked on the receipt I have.
They came out with a complementary seafood and antipasto platter. Great but...
All the cheese and crackers are touching the seafood and meat. I asked if I could have a small plate of cheese and crackers. I was refused saying it\'s complementary and there\'s nothing they can do.
I am not happy. A simple fix would have made an already hard day for our family (because this year it\'s just Dad and I) a little enjoyable. But no.
Wouldn\'t recommend this place to anyone. No Christmas spirit at all. Service stinks.

Location 10/10, we usually use this spot as a first stop to go to Melbs.
Hotel is renovated and super convenient, personal was kind and attentive.
Our bed was a little bit soft, but nothing to complain. Our last time here the bed was much better. Spacious toilet and you can drink something when you wake up at the little kitchen.
Lot of restaurants I'm in the area and around in close suburbs.
Definitely we will come back 😌

We are a 70 yr old couple went to order our lunch, we were asked for our senior card which we didn't have, we produced our licence, our pension card which we were told wasn't accepted, in the end the manager came and allowed us to order this once. We were a group of 20 if not there for a bday celebration we would have walked out
To get a drink was impossible each time anyone from the group went to the bar no one was there and had to wait
Thus hotel was poorly staffed for service and attitude, in saying that our meal was ok
Not sure how they expect to make money Friday lunch 10 days before Xmas & the venue was empty, they should be thankful us SENIORS came

Had the Thai beef salad. Fantastic. Balanced flavour. Lots of beef. Satisfying meal and I wanted more. I couldn\'t recommend anywhere I have had anything better and I have travelled heaps. Thanks Chef ! I am also impressed with my little 6 year old allergy boy. Chef made him a meal he could eat off menu. Really impressed with the service and courtesy given.
