What a great country pub!! Camped out the back for a night, spent the evening chatting to locals and other travellers at the bar. Pizza for dinner was delicious!!

Nice pub in a nice small village, pop about 150
Shop and post office off the main HWY, can park overnight in the back of the pub free, and get a "Free" shower across the tracks at the earth garden, please give a donation to the shop.

Travelling through we found the beautifully renovated Pub done by the locals. The amount of work that went into transforming this Hotel would have been astounding. We had the best Pizza we've had in a long time as well as some chat with the locals. ( pizza only Fridays and Saturday) Definitely worth coming for food. We don't drink but there were a lot there who do.??'???'?

We recently attended the Christmas party at the Royal Hotel. Grong Grong. New Managers really had their finger on the pulse. Great atmosphere. A huge raffle was run on the night with proceeds going to various charities. Well worth a visit to help this country pub out!!

What a wonderful little pub. Locals were lovely to talk to & the donation camp across the train line was also great. Hot showers! Also got to see the 5pm freight train go past!

11 out of 10, best steaks I've had in ages, great staff backed up with great service. If you're on the road & need a great meal, STOP at The Royal. You won't be disappointed

Great little country pub. Simple generous fare served by very friendly hosts Amanda and Jay. Green, grassy camping area out the back so we could imbibe in a couple of tipples.
Support the little pubs before they all disappear.

Great pub..great people..was on my way to Victoria from Airlie Beach...was only going to stay 1 night ended up 3...very homely..great atmosphere and they liked my jokes

This is a great country pub. Ken the barman was very welcoming. The meals were better than you can get at most city pubs at half the price. Get there and say Gday to Jay and Amanda.
