had lunch here and the food was delicious and the parrots were plentiful (no, we did not eat the parrots)

I didn't stay long but while I was there all I experienced was the greatest hospitality ever, best milkshake ever! It was most definitely worth the wait! And it wasn't even much of a wait! Thank you so much!

Great pub, stuck in time and an amazing piece of history.

Food was reasonably priced and of our 8 meals all were amazing with exception of 1, a chicken schitty raw in middle put us of. However the did serve us food after closing hours..

Grass area at back was awesome for kids to stretch out after a long drive

Amazing place, stuck in time in a very special and unique way. The owner is such an interesting and friendly character too.

The hotel needs a bit of help and hopefully it will get it somehow, it would be a great sadness to lose such an iconic and in a way monumental space.

Although we stayed there some time ago, I cannot forget the special time we had, even if it was cold at night it was easy to get cozy and we had very interesting conversations with the owner.

A memory that will stay forever in my heart and hopefully I will be able to visit this place again!

Had a wonderful time soaking up the history at this unique pub at Hill End. Great to talk to some locals and tourists whilst outside enjoying the autumn atmosphere. Stayed one night and the accommodation was as expected from photos and well priced. We had dinner and lunch, and food and drinks were well priced and generous serves. I have read some of the comments below and disappointed to see that people have made assumptions and not taken the chance to talk to people before making sweeping statements. The pub is a national park asset and has national heritage status and no improvements can be done without national parks agreement. It is not the governments current focus to improve many of our public heritage building such as the ones here at Hill End or at Yerranderie. If you want improvements talk to your local member if you want change. The focus is on garden of stone... maybe one day money will head towards Hill End. So what the toilets are outdated, but they are clean! I found the bedrooms to be clean, dust free, warm and comfortable. Well done and congratulations to the current team running this pub.
