Royal Hotel, Oberon NSW

Quaint, clean, wonderful staff and very comfortable rooms! I stayed here over the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rooms, beds and staff. The only downside is the shared bathrooms, 1 toilet for men and squeeky floorboards but otherwise wonderful. I will definitely stay here again. Recommended!

Friendly staff and great service. Toasty warm in winter thanks to open fire place.
Excellent meals!! Definitely recommend the salt and pepper squid or Nacho's.
I'll definitely be back when I'm in Oberon.

Bar staff were quick and friendly and atmosphere was great. BUT, the chocolate pudding was not good and despite asking for this with ice cream, they brought cream and when queried the waitress abruptly said there was no ice cream according to the sign board. Why she took the two separate orders when we both specifically said ice cream I have no idea. Simply walked off.

Room was great, do not take this as a negative... The problem was that the inroom bathroom had no door. "Noises" were very embarrassing for me to hear my partner have body movements or me having them. Also the bathroom has this gigantic window, with no window Coverings. It was private, no one could see in. But first thing in the morning the light lights up the bathroom (the pristine white bathroom did not help) and the bedroom (no door to block light). But.... Bathroom was pristine! Clean you could eat from it. Bedroom was comfortable and bed was just absolutely perfect. ... If you stay here, bring your own plugs and sleep masks. Food at the restaurant downstairs was great, good prices too. The Saturday show was also good and entertaining.... Don't get me wrong, I will stay here again, I will just pack my own plugs and sleep mask.

We had dinner and had booked a large group. The Royal Hotel was great! Friendly welcome and the service and food was excellent - very generous portions and just tasty, good, pub food. Loved the lamb cutlets, surf and turf, the nachos and cheesy bacon fries. Thanks Royal Hotel.
