this food was absolutely splendid best pub feed i've ever had my boyfriend would say the same, food came quick, would recommend, i'm sad it's 3 hours from home, it won't let me select mash potato so i'll just say that was amazing too

Unfortunately we arrived at peak dinner time. Was very busy and so shouldn't have been a surprise that the food was ordinary. Fish was dry, pizza had too much cheese on it, so it was greasy, lamb chops were very pink, one in particular was seared on the outside but not cooked at all on the inside. Pick your day and time wisely as I feel the quality of the food was a reflection of them being busy. FYI it was Wednesday night at 6.30. Cheap steak night and trivia.

Was directed here by friendly locals trying to help us find a decent feed at 830pm. Made it just in time but still got an excellent meal. Great service, nice atmosphere and honestly good grub.

We had dinner here, the food portions were good and the food was good. The sauce pprtion was very small for the size of the schnitzel.
If you are thirsty buy a jug of soft drinks.

Food was excellent. Price for a ginger beer pint was $17.50 which I find excessive. Will unfortunately not visit again if this is the trend for alcoholic beverages.

Made reservations for 5pm and it was a bit disappointing when we arrived, a staff member asked us to look around for our table. Might have been better to walk your patron to the table, bring some menus and explain how we could order drinks/food. Anyway we worked it out for ourselves. Good variety of food which was well priced. . Ordering was easy and we received a buzzer which sounded when the food was ready. Chick Norris burgers, chicken schnitzel and prawn fettuccine was excellent and served hot.

Went there for lunch with a couple of friends meal was delicious reasonably priced and fast only 10 minutes between ordering and eating and the beer was cold service was great as well

Good schnitzel and chippies and very well priced too. Also enjoyed a share cocktail jug which was honestly astonishing and refreshing to say the least! Keep up the hard work guys it doesn't go unnoticed

Great pub, good vibe, in a great location and surrounded by plenty of facilities and shops. Would definitely go back there if we visit Nelson's again.

Seafood platter is quite expensive compared to other places, taste was okay especially calamari but nothing spectacular. It's a very nice high end pub not really hotel but good atmosphere. Next time I'll just stick to steak and chips.

Food is always great and no long wait times, great outdoor area for the kids to play and you can sit right outside, have a beer and supervise in the beer garden.

Super fast service! We ordered dinner (big line up at 6:30pm on a Saturday night), then went to the bar to order drinks and as soon as we sat down, the garlic pizza was ready! We thought the buzzer was broken, but sure enough, it was ready. Our meals came out very quickly after that. Great place to go if you have kids and don't want to wait ages for food, even on a Saturday night when it was pretty packed. We didn't have kids but the playground looked like fun for them as well. We went back again on Sunday night too ?. Pizzas are great, so was the prawn pasta, my sister had the steak 2 nights in a row (cooked perfectly), salt & pepper squid serving is very generous, friendly and helpful staff. Senior meals are also cheap ($12 ?) and more than enough food for our mum. Will try the seafood platter next time ?

We stopped in on our travels for lunch, beautifully decorated and spacious inside, very clean and well maintained. The Parma was great (although a small serving) and the chips were perfect. The service was a bit confusing; going and ordering food at the kitchen, taking a buzzer and collecting the food ourselves, my personal opinion, it's not what you want to do when you've come to sit down and relax on a hot day, nonetheless. A slight downside to our experience was a lady working behind the bar, we were bluntly welcomed from behind the bar and told to grab menus and find a table anywhere. Uninformed, we asked about table service and her answer seemed condescending as if we were supposed to know there wasn't any. We also wanted to eat outside but were told we couldn't sit in the area I pointed at (fair enough, it was smokers), so we sat inside but as we were leaving we saw the outdoor eating area that definitely would have been nice to be told existed. I don't like criticism but friendly and helpful service makes such a big difference when it comes to dining experiences and this definitely put a damper on mine.

Extraordinary Food and Service. Food was ready after 10-15 minutes, Really fast compared to other restaurants I've been to. My Cousin got pasta Bolognese but devoured my brother's chips. You get a free ice cream for every kids meal. My cousin didn't finish her pasta bolognese so the staff gave us a container to put it in to take home. Really good play area for the kids. I would definitely come here again.

We were travelling through the area. Indoor playground is a win for the kids. Especially with all the rain. Staff on phone very friendly. Food was great. So handy being able to eat and keep an eye on the kids playing in a fenced in area. Only negative experiences centred around a lady at the bar. My kids wanted to look at the Christmas tree on the bar service bench and she told me to step away with my 2yo because minors weren't allowed near the bar. Like I get it, your serious about your policies with the bar but cmon, she is a toddler looking at a Christmas tree. Also picked up by the same woman for 2yo having no shoes on in the bistro even though we were just ducking in from outside to use the toilet and I was carrying her. What a grinch! She was rude too. Shame.

Good selection of cocktails and beers. The beers are fresh and cold, always.

Sirloin Steak 3/10 (overdone and tough)

Bit tricky to find it if you aren't local, some signs might help. But when we did find the pub, it was much bigger than we expected it to be. Great value beers, and a solid chicken parmi done right. Staff were great and service was really good. Really good pub to grab some pub classics.

Booked a reservation for my friends 18th birthday, hoping for a nice dinner but because a few of our friends were 17 we weren't allowed to sit and eat. Not happy, the staff were rude and the food is mediocre at best. We were just sitting there hoping to order some dinner and the staff were looking for a reason to kick us out. 0/10 experience

Came down for a weekend with the girls and Salamander Hotel was just beautiful, the staff and the manager were just beautiful! The food was good and the drinks were that much better. Would definitely consider here when you're at a weekend getaway, I would love to come here again for the summer! The staff and managers made conversation and they were just so lovely, made me feel so welcome!

Entry staff doing a great job of protecting customers and staff during this COVID time. Staff very friendly. Nice light lunch.
