Atmosphere was good and views good but girl working with brown hair was miserable and wanted to be anywhere else. Threw our food down on the table. We had a booking and the gentleman said he couldn't see it on the system so just find a seat that isn't reserved. I found a perfect seat and it was reserved under my name I had just given him ????
Food was awful. Dry and flavourless and the salad didn't even have dressing so just rabbit food really.

Dined there in a group of 20. Ordered a wide range of items on the menu but was mostly disappointed. Grilled seafood platter was tasteless and pathetic for $59. All the steaks ordered were overcooked. The salmon smelled like it spent months in the freezer. Alcoholic cocktails had little if any alcohol in them.

We dined here with a group of 20 or so and the food was underwhelming. Steak tough and chewy. Chicken schnitzel dry. Meals came out at ridiculous intervals. Dessert was not much better - Chocolate Fondant was basically like a flattened chocolate muffin - no sauce in the centre. Wasn't that busy so no excuse for the haphazard food service.

The bar staff service was good - but let down by what ever was going on in the kitchen.

We were staying for the week and tried this place on a Tuesday night. It was steady, but not super busy.
We ordered through the QR code on the table and were able to customise the pasta by asking for the capers to be removed from the salmon taglitelle and the dish came out as requested. It was fresh and plentiful.
The crispy prawn salad was outstanding! Well seasoned, fresh ingredients and generous amount of prawns! Definitely recommend this dish.
We also ordered garlic bread that came to the table piping hot! Meals were fantastic.
The only tiny thing was the table had not been cleaned from the previous patrons. However, I did ask for it to be cleaned and it was done straight away.

Brilliant food and the jug of soda water was free! The pasta is probably hand made and exceeded expectations. Steak in the burger was tender. Atmosphere and view are wonderful. Cheerful service too.

Sometimes, local pubs offer a great meal, in a vibrant atmosphere, at a reasonable price, but that isn't the case here. Meals were fine, we had a parmy, a schnitzel, chicken salad and an overpriced roast lamb at nearly $50 (the lamb looked pretty ordinary and my daughter said it was disappointing). I ate the salad and it was quite nice. In terms of the atmosphere, we sat in an enclosed patio area which got very cold and they have no working heaters. Inside area lacks ambience (all huge long tables) and a large empty floor area in the centre of the room that had toddlers. There are better places to eat in the immediate area than here.

Great value for money, staff are friendly and helpful, venue is clean and fantastic tunes playing. Great way to end a Sunday Arvo. 10/10

Had a great dinner here last night , food was fantastic, friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Our expectations in every way were exceed, the ever so welcoming staff member, Megan at the door, with the most heart-warming smile (and the most adorable dimples) made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and the thoughtful touch of providing a colouring kit for the kids was truly appreciated! The dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. A warm, inviting, and memorable experience for the entire family. A fantastic find while on school holidays, a place where both kids and adults can enjoy a delicious meal together. Anyway, back to Sydney for now, thank you Megan and the Salt crew at Kingscliff. We can't wait to return next time!

The staff were incredible and always happy to help, even with my friends making a mess of the table. Always happy to help and definitely deserve a raise after dealinf with that.

The food was perfect and the parmi was massive. High price but worth the cost, same with the drinks. Fruit tingle was delicious

We play trivia at Salt Bar every week - the many regular teams that turn up week after week love trivia with host Matt, and the holiday-makers who join also have a great night. It's such a fun time due to the fact that Matt, who runs it, is such an affable guy. He is fair minded and funny and he puts so much into the smooth running of the night. Salt Bar is the local place to be - it has proven to be a great pub to meet new friends and enjoy all provided amenities including the tasty bistro menu, sports events on the big screens, and other social activities - one member of our team is part of the footy tipping team and two others have commenced playing in the monthly Golf day. The trivia experience benefits from the hospitality and generosity of the whole Salt Bar team, with much good-natured banter especially between Matt and the bartenders. Our team has made several friendships with the other regulars and new teams are always welcomed into the friendly atmosphere!

The bugs & prawns were 10/10, highly recommended.

Nice location, nice staff. I had a chicken in coconut salad, modern/updated menu . The noise level/music is loud, so its exhausting trying to have a conversation.

Staying at the mantra this was our go to for lunch and dinner. Dog friendly outside. Friday night the 16th Dec the guy on guitar was fantastic and we didn't leave until 10pm. The guy on Saturday night was playing elevator music which made us leave early. Staff are great. Meals are great and you can order from your table.

Had dinner here and everything was absolutely amazing from the service, cocktails and food. Had the slipper bugs that had such a great fresh salad, and char grilled bugs the wild mushroom risotto was perfectly cooked . Food here has stepped up another level and will be back. Well done staff

Had a catch-up with friends. On Monday night they had music trivia. This was fun, all the table played.

The meal was good, wife's fish was ok, not great as she said. My dinner was a vegetarian dish and it was very tasty. Really enjoyed it.

The ordering is down via a QR code from the table. More and more restaurants are doing this now.

Overall the night was fun, meal was good and we all had a great night.

I thought given its location it would be really nice but the place needs a really good deep clean. Also would be nice to have some lunch salads, I paid $20 for a salad with calamari and it was tiny. The chips were nice, it has a good playground and the staff were friendly. But overall lunch was disappointing.

Great customer service, lots of space, great quality food. Bit expensive, but great for kids. Play area for both little and big kids. Book in advance, gets super busy.
Lots of parking, and right on Salt Beach.

Get dessert at the ice cream shop up the road and go for a lovely walk along the beach after dinner!

Safe Covid and vaccination check in. Staff very friendly and I was greeted on entry. Had a beer in the bar then headed out to the balcony to get some lunch. Ice cold beer and food was very good went with the Wagyu burger and the Vege burger. Very fresh and tasty. Great for the whole family to have a bite to eat of just to have a beer.

I am sitting here now. It is a fantastic Bar recently fitted out with great new furniture.
It has a Sports Bar with a huge screen
It has a Casino area for pokie lovers.
Great food is available and brought to your table.
There is a kids play area inside where parents can watch their kids.
It's a short walk to the Beach.
I recommend you visit it.
Watch the speed limits as a great place to be waiting when you go around the Corner.

After a long hiatus it was a pleasure to return to Salt Bar & Bistro and find everything improved. Fantastic food, with ample range of dish's and all reasonably priced. Great service from all the staff and a wonderful atmosphere throughout.

we were here on mothers day and had a wonderful time. The Oyster Kilpatrick and the Calamari Salad were just perfect! definitely coming back! Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful lunch with the family, staff including chef were amazing helped with picking the right foods for us. Food was absolutely amazing Portuguese chicken was to die for, so yum. Special compliments to Grace fabulous customer service and went above and beyond.

Good food with a good selection of beers and drinks. Kids play area keeps them entertained. Close proximity to the hotels and shops so very convenient.

A great family and friends venue. Great pub/club food. Efficiently run. Q Scan only entry creates a problem. Should be hand written method for those who don't have Q Scan. Some oldies don't even have phones. Poor judgement call.

Generous servings, full of flavour. We visited twice during our week long stay.
Curry night allowed us to try 2 dishes (see photos) and they were both delicious.
Another night we enjoyed ribs & prawn bruschetta.
