Our table of 4 had the great value $69 Feed Me Menu, which the whole table had to order if selected. It consisted of a cocktail (choice of 4), a shared set entree for the table, a main course (choice of 5) & a dessert (choice of 2). The meals were excellent with the highlight being the sticky date pudding that we all selected for dessert. Only slight criticism was that I had to change my choice of cocktail as they had run out of 1 of the ingredients (strange for a Pub) & it was a little rushed between courses after we asked for it not to be. Staff were very friendly. Hadn't been here in decades but will certainly be visiting more regularly now!

A bit crowded / noisy for a family birthday dinner.
The beef cheek was lovely, but I didn't realise you're only getting a bit of sauce and 3 carrots the size of my pinky finger. Was hoping for a bit more on the plate even if the beef cheek portion were to be slightly smaller.

One of the nicest meals I've had anywhere - lamb rack with mint jelly, jus and veges. Even enjoyed the brussel sprouts which are not my favourite vegetable.

What delicious food. No wonder the place is popular. Staff super professional and organised - owner of the business should be off his head happy with his kitchen and all other staff. Will be back.

Alas no ? bathroom facilities at this time had a tasty amber ale xpa with their parmi . Lovely locals gathering to dine,drink and discuss business. The minestrone was magnificent on its own . The parmi was plump and perfect. The ham and cheese where definitely contributors in their own rights to the orchestration of flavour . The amber ale had a light profile with fruit notes as befits a cold brew on a hot day for all it was a cold one on a cold one. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing food. We both had the Eye fillet... fantastic. Staff were lovely and the pub itself has a fantastic atmosphere.

The two times I went there I had such a blast !
The food is so so delicious, more refined than other bars around and yet still has this pub atmosphere that reminds me of my dear Ireland!
The background music always sets the mood, and the staff is more than welcoming and happy to help with anything. My absolutely favorite pub in Geelong, I recommend 10 times !!!!

Had a wonderful experience at Sawyers Arms today. Staff were fantastic. The Sunday roast was so delicious, my husband had the steak, which was perfect. I would highly recommend for Sunday lunch or Dinner. Thanks Sawyers

Table of 8 ,2 meals finished before any more meals came out, one meal did not arrive until others finished and only after being reminded. Last meal was roast of the day and was dry and very ordinary.
All in all not up to reputation.

A friendly greeting right on entry. Despite being quite busy (sat night) and a function running upstairs, friendly staff more than timely had us seated and drinks ordered.
A great atmosphere and music that was not too loud so you could actually have a conversation over your meal.
Delicous entrees (I HIGHLY recommend the panko mushroom!) came out superquick with mains also well beyond expectations!
5? all round, great food at a good price, attentive friendly service and a great atmosphere!
Will definately be back to sample plenty more!

Have been here a number of times, when passing through. Have loved the meals each time. The service has always excellent and I have felt relaxed and enjoyed the meal. Not loud and noisy like a lot of places

Very dissapointing, crumbed brains were good but only 3 little bits, rosti was a joke, 2 cubes of potato. The main king george whiting tasted frozen and was in an oily batter but the salad was so underwelming, lettuce, beetroot and spinach leaves with onion and plain oil dressing. In reflection I doubt it was King George Whiting but blue whiting as it had dark blue bands not sandy dots!Expectations were high and for the price, meals were substandard! I wont be back!

Caught up with friends for dinner on a recent Friday night. Was very busy but we had great service. Did not have to wait long for our order to arrive and the food was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would happily return and recommend.

I dined here because of the good reputation. Had trouble finding the fish amongst the batter, the plate was overloaded with fries and the salad was spinach , lettuce and onion held together with a copious amount of oil. Very disappointing.

Loved it and looking forward to their amazing food and wine. Very attentive staff and service .

I dined there on 30th September and I was very unhappy with my meal. I ordered scotch fillet with mushrooms sauce and it looked so unappetising but it also tasted as bad as it looked! The steak was very grisly and the sauce was all over the steak and all around the plate! It looked like a child had dished it up. The sauce was a horrible charcoal colour with no mushrooms and very gritty! I never complain when I dine out but I felt I needed to do a review as this was probably the worst meal I've ever had when dining out! ?

An absolute gem inside !
3 of use were out for lunch today, the lady who served us was very polite and professional. The salmon was delicious, my friend said his steak was cooked perfectly for a MED. And Mr 3yo ate all of his nuggets. Dessert was pretty good too. Can't wait to come back and try the pork belly.

Great meal with friends. Everyone enjoyed there meals and the service was impeccable not to mention how delicious the meals were. First time here but will definitely return. The ricotta gnocchi was exquisite.

Absolutely recommended to go their the meals's were big and delicious and very quick to come out. The staff were wonderful.
Their was a family of 4 come in and the daughter brought her teddy ? and he had to have a seat too. The staff member was so wonderful and got a seat from another table, shortly after another table of 4 came in but they couldn't use that table. Because of 1 missing chair. The staff are amazing to cater for everyone. It was a fantastic experience.

Free parking. Cozy environment. Nice staff and attentive. The restaurant was recommended by the staff of a nearby motel saying that the steak was outstanding. We came to have a try as we failed to find any good piece of meat in the past two weeks traveling along Great Ocean Road. The calamari plate was nice and appetizing. The fillet steak was perfectly prepared and flavorful. The other steak quality however did not meet expectations. Nothing special at all. Overall, the food provided met the prices set.
