So this is a pub with history and an amazing view and that is the main reason to stop here. Perched on the edge of the cliff you could very easily drink away your afternoon with a bunch of friends. Unfortunately though the food is average at best and is well what is to be expected from a decent pub feed in 2025. Two weekends ago we were in Palm Cove (Cairns) and had a burger and fish and chips. We both said they were one of the best meals we have had at a pub ever. Unfortunately the burger and fish and chips we had here were so basic, lacking in love and desire to impress.
No garnish at all, no small side salad with either meal, both meals were just underwhelming. Don't get me wrong the food wasn't bad. We ate both meals but considering the high prices $29 for the burger and $32 for the fish and chips, it is fair to expect a whole different level of quality in the meals.
