We only stopped for lunch, and really enjoyed our experience. Food was amazing, and to top it off, there was a live band playing. The staff were fantastic and totally professional with a warm and friendly manner. Loved the history of the inn, with the photos showing its progress, from it's early days through to the spectacular place it is now. Positioned right on the water's edge, the view was beautiful, enhanced greatly by the immaculate gardens. Also enjoyed browsing through the beautiful gallery/gift shop. A little off the main road, but well worth the short trip. Definitely a place we will revisit.

A more up market venue for dining. We stopped and had lunch in the dining room before taking our drinks outside to the under cover pergola area where we had live music and a view of the water. Terrific venue fir a meal or drinks. You can also bring your dog and sit at the tables on the grass. It's was a lovely lazy afternoon.

A one night stay enroute to Melbourne via the Princess Highway. Nice quiet spot with views of the bay back to Eden. The rooms are comfortable and large, some villas allow pets. The grounds are lovely and the restaurant was fine. Food was fine but not great. Lots of history with this place if you are interested.

Stayed in Villa 3. Rooms were squeaky clean, gas Burner and dishwasher both worked great, bed was comfy. Can't fault the place.

Meal was delicious at the restaurant and special shout out to Shanan. Fantastic service, all done with a smile. He really made our stay extra special.

Didn't meet the basics.

While the location of the villas are nice facing the beach, it is not worth the ~$400 per night charged for a two bedroom self contained with a queen and 4 bunks.

Hospitality is lacking from front reception, we did not feel a warm welcome. The venue doesn't make up beds on the top bunks and they are making serious cheap budget choices with their cleaners, we had to take out our rubbish bin so not to incur an additional cleaning charge with a notice m in the kitchen advising so. The top bunk fitted sheet was dirty and we weren't given sheets needed to make up the room, however, they were quick to address this when notified. This element is given a 2 star rating.

The self contained villas require basics hospitality management, for a villa that sleeps 6, there are only 3 table spoons, an indoor table that sits 4 people, no soap dish in the bathroom. It doesn't take much to make sure there is enough cutlery for people staying in the unit so we don't have to eat breakfast with a teaspoon. I would give kitting out 3 stars.

Sleeping was okay, sheets are clean, blankets are warm, pillows average. It was good but not great, I'd give the bedding a 3 star rating.

Restaurant is great, the staff in this section are friendly and the food is delicious. The outside of the restaurant is really nice and I can see why people have weddings here. 5 stars for the restaurant :-)

It is disappointing the accommodation isn't up to the same standard as the restaurant, I wouldn't stay here again, it hasn't left a good impression on us. Staying across the bridge in Eden is recommended.

We had a quick visit, as there was a wedding ceremony commencing very soon. Very nice venue for weddings! I'm not sure if they were having the reception there, but it was set up for the ceremony. The white chairs on the sand and the floral decorated arch, was all ready to go for their ceremony. It was a beautiful and picturesque place to have a dreamy beach ceremony, with the backdrop of the sandy beach and beautiful ocean views. We could see the bride and her bridesmaids having a preparation drink as they were getting ready for the ceremony on the beautiful balconies of the old accommodation of the Seahorse Inn. The groom and groomsmen we saw later (as we were leaving), were out the front in the beautifully manicured gardens with the photographer. There is an area undercover (reasonably new) out the back of the Inn now (which was not there a few years ago) that has been built specifically for functions. It wasn't actually set up with any tablecloths, but it can be set up for an undercover function area with the beach in front of it. Perfect setting for that dreamy beach wedding!

Stayed three days nextdoor at the campground...and absolutely loved spending lunch or dinner under the verandah of the Seahorse Inn, watching the waves roll in from the bay. I will return as often as possible to my new 'happy place'!

We were there for tea on a Thursday evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meal was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. The building has been tastefully renovated and the historic features are showcased.

Lunch staff very friendly and participated in wine chat and local banter. Food was very enjoyable on the foreshore. Dinner staff and service was the opposite. Whinging bar staff, mix up with meals and a seafood chowder that should have been amazing. More soup than seafood. Advertised as local fish, prawns, scallops and calamari. Fish yes...prawns yes but with tails on in a soup....frozen calamari.....and only the scallop roe...no actual scallop. As folks who know ocean produce this failed to deliver for the price. Offering complimentary drinks as we were leaving to drive home.....pointless.

What a lovely venue, fabulous position and great food. But the outstanding thing was the staff. We were treated like old friends returning home. They were friendly helpful lovely and accommodating. We could not fault any one of them and as such would recommend Seahorse to everyone! Thank you all from the LAA nurses xx

Great sea view. Welcoming staff but unfortunately when directing us to our room mentioned a few steps. It was actually a winding staircase with narrowing steps. It was a struggle to get luggage up the stairs safely. Help was not offered.
Dinner was disappointing, fish was dry. It seemed the staff had to multitask and fill in everywhere. Unfortunately when we tried to check out there was no-one at reception so rang the bell to no avail. Found 3 staff chatting and laughing making coffee at the bar only to be told by one of them that they heard the bell and was making coffee and "I will get to you love". Hardly good service expected from an establishment that rates itself highly.

We stayed in a villa, lovely, light and clean... however its on high stilts and wobbles as you walk through. The location is quiet and beautiful.
The restaurant was a stand out, food superb and the service staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Some of the best restaurant service I have had 10/10.

Beautiful waterfront setting, Great dining experience. Greeted by friendly staff that showed us through to our table, great atmosphere right next to the beach. Meals came out quickly for a full restaurant and nothing too much trouble for staff that were run off their feet. Meals were delicious, throughly enjoyed the fresh seafood. Look forward to returning for another meal. Great job team.

The view is a bonus when you go to the seahorse inn, food was absolutely beautiful and for a busy day it weren't to bad of a wait
I would like to say a big thank you to Trudi for serving not only being visually and delicious food and of course her team behind the grills.
Also staff was so nice and accepting to everyone who walked in, the bar staff were so helpful and sweet, monii suggested such a great drink my mum decided when left to buy 2 bottles.
Great staff and location 100% recommend

The Seahorse Inn never disappoints, the location is beautiful and truly one of a kind. The area is swimming with tourists, we were notified that food would be delayed but this was expected as every table was full. When the food came out it was hot and tasted great. The staff were busy but smiling and laughing. The floor staff were excellent

Beautiful venue, stunning views of the beach. But it ends there. Every staff member we dealt with were disgustingly rude. After phoning up for a reservation 24 hours prior as advised, we arrived to be told there was no booking for us and we had to find our own table outside. We were told if we wanted to sit inside the restaurant we had to order and be out within 30 minutes. We then waited for 40 minutes for some very average food. Not only were we disappointed with our meals, the toilets were absolutely filthy. The staff completely ruined our experience. I will not recommend to anyone. Very disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would.

Amazing place. First time here, beautiful, peaceful views, super clean and tidy rooms and excellent service. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and our server Holly in particular provided the best service we've had in a long time. She suggested a wine, and provided tasters before we committed to the bottle. Holly also suggested a dessert that was absolutely perfect, and she helped us with a very fussy eater. Just perfect, couldn't have asked for a better stay (and I'm hard to please!). Thank you so much Holly and the management at Seahorse Inn. Worth every cent.

A 3-night stay @ the Seahorse Inn @ Boydtown was fantastic. Located in a calm bay in a stunning building on the bay. The meals were great with the Seafood Chowder & also the Seafood Bisque where stand outs. All the staff are attentive & friendly. Special mention to Shanan, Holly & the 2 young waitstaff. Very worth the trip from Sydney for a stay or stop over along the Princes Highway. We are already planning a return trip.

The Seahorse Inn is located in an amazing building with a rich history. The food looked really good and was well decorated. Unfortunately, the calamari was a bit dry to my liking, but that's a question of personal taste. If you ever visit Eden it's definitely worth a try!

Stopped in for lunch, 6 adults and a toddler. Chef came to suggest a special meal for the little one to cater to her dietary requirements which was just amazing. Waitress was great and we had a good laugh, location was sensational and great for the baby toddle around after we ordered. The food was exquisite, a highlight of our trip.

Went here for lunch as spare of the moment thing. Was happily surprised with the great menu and very reasonable prices. Staff were extremely friendly and made to feel very welcome. It would be a gorgeous place for a wedding or romantic getaway. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

This is a beautiful place to stay overnight (or more). The room (room 3 - garden view) is classically styled, warm and welcoming.
The staff, have all been polite and professional. And while I'm sitting here & enjoying my cooked breakfast (the best bacon I have had in quite sometime), which is also brought to your room, I'm already planning on when we can visit again.
I can highly recommend the Seahorse Inn to those passing through, or just want a relaxing weekend away in Eden.

Stopped in for lunch looking forward to trying some local fresh seafood. Unfortunately the salt and pepper squid and the local flake weren't fresh. The fish was overcooked, there was no dressing on the side salad and the tartare sauce was very sweet. The meals were very pricey, over $60 for two meals, and they were not large portions. The view was great and we had no issues with the service, but the food should be better prepared for the price.

What a lovely boutique hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. We also had an excellent (and reasonably priced) dinner. We will be back to walk the the coast.
